Landscape fabric is Not a good idea unless using stone mulch. It is pointless if you are using any wood mulch over it because as the mulch breaks down and becomes soil, the weeds will readily grow right on top of that fabric rendering it useless and just a hindrance.

Whoever said you look fat in this or that you have a belly bump is a big part of the superficial scum of our society. Any skinnier and you would look like an unhealthy, borderline anorexic. You are in the class of healthy, fit and still fun to take out to dinner because you aren’t too self conscious to actually eat food. Not hitting on you or looking for a date, happily married with 3 teenage daughters but 30 years ago you would have definitely been my type.

Interestjng. I fish the northeast along the coast from MA to Long Island, fresh and saltwater and saltwater fish tend to be less finicky and more aggressive. At least those that would most likely hit a stick bait. Largemouths don’t count, they hit everything within reason, but in my last 30 yrs of experience most other freshwater gamefish are more selective besides pike.

If it’s for saltwater they’re probably fine, if freshwater then you definitely want smaller and not silver hooks

Still usable. Unfortunately it is way too common on factory built rods. When buying a quality rod you should always inspect that the spine and the guides are located properly.

Wear it home or at your clients house

I received an inheritance from an uncle that passed away. I spent 5k on a center console off eBay and another 4k on downriggers, electronics and stainless rod holders. It was my first boat so I didn’t mind dinging it up a little when docking it. Buying an older boat also gave me a Huge education in diy motor repair and maintenance. I don’t recommend buying a new first boat.

Try curing some eggs in some red pro cure before heading out next time, you’ll catch even more.

I tip 20% every time unless the service is exceptional or it sucks. Don’t Tell me how to tip though or you won’t get my business. A local pizza shop here serves cold pizza if you order takeout by phone and don’t tip. I called them out finally and ended up getting a free pizza coupon. Don’t let restaurants bully you for a tip, make the server earn it with good service.

I’m a local and used to fish the run multiple times a week 20 years. Now I catch them by boat in the open lake and don’t have to deal with the trash or crowds. I don’t care if you don’t believe me and feel free not to take my advice.

If that is your natural shape then you are not too skinny. If you are forcing your body to look like that then you are too skinny for your body.
