The last time I tested it, double walls were better than air gaps. I haven't tested it in years, though, but I don't think anything has changed. Also, in case you're wondering, triple walls don't do anything.

They will stay on longer in order to reach a lower temperature, thereby using more power over time. Once they reach the target temperature, they will go into a low power usage.
Here's the best ways to save power: being under a thick roof. Thick roofs save a ton on cooling. Next, double walls between the exterior and the interior of the base, as well as double walls around your freezer. Finally, following the trick from above, having your coolers with a two degree difference from one another.

I love the gameplay, but the story is not my thing at all. I just cannot take it seriously.

It's really fun when you stack some stones on a walk, then come back the next day and find someone else has stacked it one higher, and then you try to outdo one another each day. I don't do it in other people's yards, though.

I think Vaan could have been a main character, but he chose not to. Early in the game, Vaan sees the ghost-god thing (the Occuria), taking the form of his brother to his mind, while Ashe sees her dead husband. This is the ghost-gods trying to tempt Ashe to seek out and use the crystal-nukes to get her revenge against the Empire.
But why can Vaan also see it and not anyone else? It's because he has this fierce desire for revenge against the Empire. The ghost-gods are trying to tempt him as a backup. Later, Vaan has his moment with Ashe in the goat-people village at night, deciding he's going to let go of his desire for revenge after meeting Larsa. After that, he doesn't see the ghost-god taking the form of his brother anymore. They realize they can't tempt him, so they focus on tempting Ashe.
Vaan made the right choice and essentially stopped being part of the story because the villains lost interest in him.

From what I've heard, you can really break the game on multiple playthru's, even going outside the bounds of the game world, discovering other game worlds, and weird stuff like that. It has to do with spell combinations and that kind of thing. However, now that I think of it, it may be more of a roguelike and not as much of an rpg like Terraria. But it's the closest I can think of to that feeling that you get with Terraria of becoming super OP as the game goes on.

I think the game you're looking for is Noita. I cannot, however, personally recommend it, since I've never played it. But my understanding is that it has what you're looking for.

Most people say that Yumi and the Nightmare Painter is Sanderson's most realistic romance.
As for why most people read Sanderson in general, it's probably for what they call the "Sanderlanche", which is a portmanteau of Sanderson and avalanche. It has to do with how he writes the climax of his stories. After all the buildup of the main story and sub-stories, he has everything, plot climaxes and emotional climaxes, all happening in the last one hundred pages of the novel. You have to set aside a lot of time before the ending happens, because you won't want to put the book down until you finish.

Yumi might be one of my favorite books of his. Just beware if, after you finish it, you still have questions and want to look them up, you might inadvertently spoil some of the earlier novels for yourself.
Yumi takes place rather far forward in the timeline of his Cosmere series of books, and while it is disconnected from them in the sense that it is not a direct sequel or prequel or anything, there might be some nuances of the magic system that you won't understand.
Still, no one reads Yumi for the magic anyway. Not really.

This has to be AI. It reminds me of the Abandoned Films youtube channel, which takes modern video games and movies and imagines them as like a 1950's movie trailer. Still, I'd watch this. I'm a big fan of the old school anime style of the eighties and nineties.

Notice the cuts in the video. We don't get to see how good (or bad) of a job the actual device does until after a video cut. Does it maybe tear the meat rather than cut it into clean slices? Does it cut evenly or not?

Then why did the cop say he was from Milwaukee police?

Just wait for the lawsuits of children suing their parents and doctors for robbing them of the ability to procreate.

I'm not exactly the handy type of guy, but even I know you need more lubrication than that. It sounds so bad. This is the worst thing I've heard all day.

Yeah, we called him MIMAL back in elementary school. Easy way to remember those states.

Wait... when did I start playing Subnautica? Oh, guess I need to scan that hull fragment so I can build the Cyclops later.

This such a bad one, and it keeps getting worse. Arwen makes the RIGHT choice, though. Either spend the rest of eternity mourning all the things you've lost: love of a husband, love of a mother for her child-- or, you know, help them and watch them live fulfilling lives where they come into their own, then you yourself grow weary and pass away happily and fulfilled.

I don't know if you know this, but if you let Tulin push you, then put away your paraglider for a second, then take it back out while Tulin is still pushing you, then you will maintain most of the speed even after the wind disappears. Yes, you drop a few feet when you put away the paraglider for a split second, but maintaining the speed even after Tulin finishes pushing you more than makes up for the lost altitude.

What gametes do they make, then? Slow, large, very few gametes? Female. Fast, small, very many gametes? Male.

DB definitely feels like a fun adventure, but it also has my favorite fight in the entire series, and believe it or not, it's just a single thirty second segment in the Goku vs. Krillen fight in episode 96. The flow of that fight is just amazing, and so is the music.

One of my favorite movies of all time. I know it's stupid, but I laughed so hard at this as a kid. Also, for a brief period about ten years ago, it was viral to do the "Bernie" dance from the second movie.
Why is the food on trays, though? They don't have to carry their food anywhere. It appears and disappears from the serving platters. We later find out it's because of the elves in the kitchens below the great hall, but it's supposed to feel really magical and special in the first year. Instead, they're treating it like it's just a normal school cafeteria.
