When people told me that the world's progress had started going backwards, I didn't understand it... but now it seems I do. We are once again going to start trading goods at street stalls in the city, just like in the "good old" days.

Google this year attempts to limit your ability to install apps from external sources, claiming it is "not safe," while their Play Store is full of scam apps. It is annoying as fuk.

It’s IMM (Icarus Mod Manager) on GitHub.
You download and install it, then use it to browse and manage a ton of mods in one place.
You can also check Nexus Mods, but there are fewer options there, and mods tend to break more often when the game gets a new update.

First of all, it’s much cheaper, especially if we’re talking about large amounts of storage in the long run. Just as an example, a 2TB cloud storage plan on Google is about $100/year (if you pay yearly). A brand new HDD of the same size would cost me around $100–$180, depending on the speed and brand. My HDDs last around 6–7 years on average. I even have one that’s 11 years old and still works, but I don’t keep anything important on it since it’s probably going to die soon. Realistically, they can last 10 years without issues if you don’t write to them too much.
That’s a huge pricing difference, and it’s safer too.
P.S. There are also apps that can make your local storage accessible online. It’s definitely less secure, and you’d need a device running 24/7, but it works fine if you really need that feature.
Cloud storage isn’t safe, and it never really was. It might be more convenient since you can back up whatever you want whenever you want, and I’m not going to argue with that.
That said, I still use cloud storage for smaller files and even some photos, but before I upload anything, I encrypt everything with Cryptomator. If something ever happens to my cloud storage, no one except me will be able to decrypt it, which I’d say is pretty safe. Still, those are their drives, and they technically control what’s stored on them. Who knows what they’re going to do with them.

It looks amazing!
P.S. Honestly, this game has a lot of potential. With a few more upgrades and additions to the building system, and by making the world feel more “alive” (adding camps, NPCs, etc.), it could be so good.
It is not about the uniqueness of your email address.. it is a matter of security. If you are ever targeted by hackers, they can use your deleted email address to gain access to important accounts you previously registered under that email. Even if you update your email on certain websites, support teams will often restore your account if someone claims to have lost access to the new address but still controls the original one. I have restored several of my own accounts this way over my decade on the internet. From a security and privacy perspective, recycling email addresses is a "dangerous" practice, and I do not understand why FastMail does it.
