I think you really need to Let It Go.

If Apple knows security, why'd they leave open a way to brute-force iCloud passwords for two months?

NikkiBug96

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

For a second I thought that said that males can't breathe underwater and I thought "but females can't either" and then I reread it and it made more sense.

NikkiBug96

I did. I lied so you'd keep buying more dances.

NikkiBug96

Yeah same here. Girl with lots of skinny jeans. My old Nexus 1 and current Nexus 5 spend hours each day being sat on, but these things are solid. I sit on them all day and they'll never bend!

Here's another video of Desmond Tutu laughing. Best laugh I've ever heard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMtPIXflGWw

The torrent isn't official, but you can check to make sure that the files in the torrent are genuine and don't have rootkits and bad shit baked into them by following the instructions in this comment. The torrent will probably download faster than grabbing the file from Microsoft's servers, but you can still make sure it's legitimate with Microsoft's sha1 calculating tool.

TL;DR: you can find the sha1 hash and ensure that the torrented file is the same thing that Microsoft is releasing through their more conventional channels.

Hrm. Interesting. Maybe this weekend I'll flash the L beta to my Nexus 5 and see if anything changes.

But hopefully it'll all be sorted out before the final L release.

NikkiBug96

That's... Very odd. I can't imagine why having a Nexus 5 would help since have a Moto 360 and a Nexus 5 and the contact images on my 360 are basically shit.

Could depend on the text messaging app being used. And the Android version. And possibly the Android Wear version. And the actual hardware (I can't imagine why that could be it, but hey, who knows?). Hopefully Google fixes it soon!

NikkiBug96

That's great! Sounds like a lot of Android Wear should end up getting more polish with L. Honestly it really sounds like they didn't even bother setting up proper support for pre-L phones.

I wouldn't be surprised if their are high-res contact images on AW devices connected to phones running the L beta.

NikkiBug96

I posted an in-depth reply to this yesterday on a post in /r/AndroidWear asking the same question. Here's a link: www.reddit.com/2htzzl

Short answer: Hangouts has high-resolution images of your contacts, but it only provides low-quality images to the Android notification shade, because the notification shade shows small pictures so it doesn't need high-res images. But Android Wear does need high-res images. But Android Wear simply grabs everything from the notification shade. So the only solution is for Hangouts to deliver a high-res image to the notification shade (which is pointless for non-AW users), or for AW to directly contact Hangouts and request a high-res image. Oops, that's not a very short answer. Oh well.

NikkiBug96

I'd say it's more of an unintentional mistake or minor oversight, rather than a "stupid move". Android Wear is just designed to copy your notifications from your phone and display them on your wrist, and it uses all of the information in your notification shade. Which means that if Hangouts provides a low-res image to Android, then Android will hand off a low-res image to Android Wear. More of an issue with Hangouts than anything else. But it's definitely fixable and hopefully it'll be fixed soon. I'm sure L will provide more inter-app communication, so hopefully that'll make it easier for Android Wear to collect more information (if it can't already).

NikkiBug96

Previous build name is KGW42N.

(I'm like 90% sure on that.)

NikkiBug96

On your phone, Hangouts provides a low-res image of the contact to the operating system for it to use in the notification shade on your phone. When you pull down from the top of your phone's screen and there's a Hangouts message, there's a picture of the contact (or that generic dark blue guy on light blue background), but it's low resolution (which is okay because the image in the notification shade only takes a tiny part of the screen, so the resolution there is more than adequate). Similarly, Soundcloud provides a high-resolution image of Childish Gambino to the notification shade, which is honestly kinda pointless for anyone who isn't using an Android Wear device, but it's nice for those of us who do.

However, Android Wear takes that low-resolution Hangouts image from the notification shade and blows it up to take up the entire display on the watch, because Android Wear mainly just works by mirroring all the information in the notification shade and not really doing much else. This is a stupid move on the part of the Android Wear developers, but it's the way that Android Wear works for now, and that's how it's going to work until either 1) Hangouts provides higher-resolution images for the notification shade (which uses up a bit more memory and resources and isn't useful for anyone unless they use an Android Wear device, but it's not a big deal), or 2) Android Wear is able to directly communicate with Hangouts and Hangouts volunteers a high-res image for Android Wear.

Basically it's just another reminder that Android Wear is "good enough that it works and pretty much does everything, but not quite perfectly polished yet".

I think you had a FWB-ship with Siri

"I think I'm musty" is pretty classy as well.

It's always Vargas.

Always.

Our team name? We're the League of Defenders of Movie-Quote-Free Sex.

aka The LDMQFS.

NikkiBug96

I have a costume from last year when I went as Misty from Pokemon. I volunteer that.

I also have a friend currently studying to be in the Air Force. We can recruit her skills and defeat the SMQM.

Only ones with an x86 processor. Ones with an ARM processor won't be able to handle Linux applications like Steam or Wine. The Acer 13 has an ARM processor.

NikkiBug96

The dick size could be completely irrelevant, in which case it could simply be a secret society of all men, slowly planning to introduce quoting movies into sex, merely to confuse women.

This is the only logical conclusion. We must infiltrate the Society of Movie-Quoting Men before they conquer the world.

NikkiBug96

There's probably a secret club of guys with big dicks who like quoting movies.

Or maybe it's just a secret club of guys with big dicks who've decided to quote movies during sex just to confuse women. In which case, it's definitely working.

NikkiBug96

It's about time, really. The settings menu in Chrome (and Chrome OS) is so bland. No colors, no pretty icons. Even the Control Panel in Windows has come colorful icons.

The animation in Material Design (which seems to be a pretty big part of Material) will hopefully make the Chrome Settings page a bit more enjoyable and less bland.

NikkiBug96

Great minds think alike, I guess.
