It's for financial benefits my father says.  but it's actually just to control her financially.  and she loves playing the victim, calling him every day because she doesn't have enough money to keep herself and her pets (and her lazy boyfriend) afloat 

they've been at it for the last 10 years and it's so much emotional backstabbing and blackmailing I've long since stopped intervening. 

they're both deeply depressed and I've been to therapy because they almost drove me to ending my live with their constant talk about sui*die and the constant fear of coming home from work (I was living alone with my father)

in the deepest dept of depression I finally tried a dating app and found the love of my life  6 years later still going strong without ever fighting
