The example he gives is when he requests an object placement to be readjust 3 or 4 times, then compomrises with a placement he's 70% satisfied with because requesting fixes nonstop is demoralizing to both himself and his employee. But AI is unable to complain...

I think he’s being truthful about the cancellation as to not be a complete liar (and to more easily parlay it into the eventual funding request from studio or crowd) but is being coy about it being ZE to maintain mystery. this is the most popular theory and, to me, has been all but confirmed. ze4 got greenlit and that was hype enough for him to (temporarily?) depart tookyo after hundredline dropped to work on it, but eventually along the lines it got canceled last year and he created this company to go full court press to get investment to make it.

That said, wouldn't put it past the cancelation being true and this being a last ditch effort.

i mean this has all but been confirmed at this point with all the connections to ZE, even in the name Crash Keys. considering how succesfull this has been on getting eyes and attention i think theres a good chance he gets it going again, but likely on a firm budget like ztd

Everything written on the official CRASH KEYS website is true. Unfortunately, the project definitely got the axe, our company really is in a critical situation, and yes, we're actually searching for spiritual stones along the riverbank.

Thankfully, we've already received many offers of work and investment proposals, but we're still actively looking for more. We'd really appreciate it if you could continue to help spread the word!
