I watched the whole thing, and was excited to do so, because they kept dropping hints that something would happen, that literally anything meaningful would happen. The show's viewership actually got carried by the weekly release since people could discuss and theorize about all of the things that happened. There's a reason all the bad reviews come out of the wood work when the finale drops and everyone is forced to accept that the show runners chose the most boring, stupid choices imaginable.

They didn't need to have big action scenes, but they could've at least made the characters actions and emotions make sense instead of throwing away any development in the garbage finale.

Llms will notice when a problem requires a tool call and use math modules. At least, llms with any reasoning budget will. The free tier, unlimited, instant models basically have to commit to a decision from the first token and so often miss the need.

NotYetPerfect

The problem the solved is one of the variants the Clat Mathematics Institute explicitly had. Just because it is contrived doesn't make it any less impressive. Basically all pure mathematics is incredibly contrived.

NotYetPerfect

Not a single mathematician has found anything wrong with the navier stokes proof yet except that the lean proof doesn't match with the written paper, which while obviously a problem for humans trying to understand it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the lean proof. Similarly, none of the 700 or so open problem solutions they released last week have been disputed to my knowledge yet either.

Flagship product lol. The op isn't even logged in... This is the instant model with zero reasoning budget given to free users. Openai can't afford to give free users unlimited usage of a model that can actually think.

NotYetPerfect

What do you expect using an instant model that has basically zero reasoning budget and is essentially forced to make decisions about what to do from the first token? Of course the unlimited free tier model is going to be pure dog shit.

NotYetPerfect

Well when you use a shit tier free model, which we know op is since he isn't logged in, then yeah it often makes mistakes. The frontier models are typically very good at recognizing when they need to use a tool call to do math.

NotYetPerfect

It's certainly better in the rewarding pedophiles and author being weird as fuck categories.

NotYetPerfect

Tao did not get his reputation as a math genius from just seeming like he was good at math... He is a math genius. That just doesn't generalize to topics he isn't an expert in.

NotYetPerfect

Important problems lol. This is abstract math. It isn't important. Openai is only doing this because math is one of the easier fields for AI to learn to solve problems in and is commonly considered hard so it makes for good publicity. Almost none of it, if any at all, is important in any way.

I feel like people here aren't reading beyond what they want to hear. People are getting a lot more code written with a lot more commits. The review processes at these companies simply can't handle it since they haven't invested enough in that area.

The conclusion the authors make is that companies need to invest more in review capacity to capture AI's benefits not stop using AI.

Calling it 57 is so dumb. For one, one of those people actually did report it when he woke up and saw. And for another, I'm sure a lot, if not most, of the people in that group chat didn't even see the message at all. Some of them probably saw and didn't do anything, but a lot of them probably never knew because they don't bother looking at the group chat.

NotYetPerfect

Someone in that group chat obviously did report it...

NotYetPerfect

You posted it as if it were an actual rebuttal to the original claim when it clearly was not since it was a piece of shit. Like sure it was an attempt, but no actual person would look at it and think it was anywhere near gta 3 in quality. No one would think it would even be anywhere near shitty bootleg roblox gta.

NotYetPerfect

Because you're retarded? People at the top ranks and in pro aren't banning things they think are annoying. They no life the game and only care about winning...

NotYetPerfect

So one drunk person is informing your opinion on everyone in the country? I've met a bunch of dumb fuck brits. Since living in Germany, I have yet to meet a single one that could name the 16 federal states. It's almost like useless information isn't a particularly good metric for intelligence or education.

NotYetPerfect

Yes because those people are obviously either delusional or scammers. Are you fucking retarded?

NotYetPerfect

Okay Trump is awful and the name changing is pointless and stupid, but this is obviously a joke.

NotYetPerfect

If by amazing you mean overacted to make up for the fact she was barely able to emote from all the botox or whatever anti-aging shit she did to her face, then yeah, amazing.

NotYetPerfect

This is making no statement on the proportion of speaking roles in films that are given to women. It only says that there's a large discrepancy in movies that made money. People here are drawing a lot of conclusions that can't be made just from this information.

NotYetPerfect

Nolan isn't infallible. And he was clearly wrong since bvs and Justice League sucked ass and man of steel wasn't even that well received by audiences either...

NotYetPerfect

No it's because the movies they were releasing in phase 5 were terrible and interest in superhero movies in general is way down. The movies that weren't (guardians and deadpool) made a boatload of money. Again, basically all of the snyderverse movies made a fuck ton of money, including the terrible ones, because that was just the nature of releasing a super hero movie back then, especially ones with huge names. Suicide squad, justice league, and bvs were all universally panned movies that made an insane amount of money. Making money didn't make them better movies.

James Gunn's actually well received superman (much better received than man of steel mind you) and suicide squad would've feasted back then. Supergirl wouldn't have done nearly as bad either, despite it being a bad movie.

NotYetPerfect

It happens for marvel movies too? Look at half the movies they released in phase 5. 4/6 of them are estimated to have either lost money or barely made money. And that's with the rabid fanbase they have from nearly two decades of goodwill.

Not to mention all the dogshit movies that make no money every month. Death of Robin hood just came out and made less than 10 million cause it was awful with no marketing to boot.

NotYetPerfect

People watched movies more back then, super hero movies were in their prime rather than an oversaturated market, and it was the first big on screen portrayal of these characters teaming up. Huge second week box office drops, reviews, and exit polls show what audiences thought of the movies.

Unfortunately for Gunn, you can't just release some dogshit movie with a superhero in it and have it make a bunch of money anymore. And supergirl was never going to be a big draw off name recognition.

NotYetPerfect

Actually look at reviews and exit polls. People didn't really like any of the dceu films. Superman 25 has better critic and audience reviews than all of them.
