Yes! I’ve used Brutus bone broth in the past but it’s a little pricey. I would use human grade if it didn’t have so much sodium/spices.

OP, how is your date doing? Honestly could have been anything. Now a days someone could do this via some sort of skin to skin contact, a syringe, a drink, etc.

I had a similar experience years ago. I was out with a girlfriend at a very popular bar in Boston. Both had just started out the night. I broke my one rule that night— never leave your drink unattended. Even though I asked my friend to watch while I ran to the restroom, I have a sneaking suspicion she didn’t.

It was both our first drink of the night — a light beer. I’d had maybe 1/3 of it, and had a much higher tolerance for alcohol of any kind back then. Within 15 min or so I started to feel extremely dizzy, faint, and sleepy. I could NOT control myself. Back then, Ubers weren’t a thing. I didn’t trust myself completely with that friend so I got to a cab as quickly as I could and attempted to seem as normal as I could so no one would try to take advantage. It’s a thing that’s always in the back of your mind as a woman, esp when you’ve been drinking.

Luckily home was not too far, and the cab driver got me home safely. It took a LOT to stay awake in that cab, and to get up the stairs in my brownstone. In retrospect I absolutely should have called someone, had my friend or the bar call 911, or something. I was in complete denial. Too young to understand or accept the reality and shrugged it off in fear. It was one of the ugliest experiences ever.
