I mean...you can't trust anyone not to hurt you in some way. That's just a side effect of any type of relationship you're invested in emotionally: platonic, familial, or romantic. Unless you're never going to be vulnerable in any way, with the people in your life, their sharp edges are going to cut from time to time.
Familiarity breeds contempt. I've found with each person in my life there is an amount of time I spend with them where I start kind of hating them. The solution isn't to end that relationship, just find the balance of time that keeps the love flowing.
I am a man, so take my advice for what it's worth to you. I don't really believe in a patriarchal agenda, the only agenda I believe in involves: working, my hobbies, good food, the people I love, and just doing the best I can each day.

Be careful with those two questions. For three months, every spare moment I had was used "discussing" , essentially, that topic with a friend/colleague. Thousands of emails, notes, letters recorded video/audio calls, and a fist fight over it, it was equal parts delightful and infuriating.

They did take Spain and successfully convert it back to Christianity. If they had stopped there, it could be considered an unqualified success.

As far as I can tell, there was no real positive outcome with Genghis Khan. Better to die fighting than surrender and have him change the terms later, break them, or find some loophole to torture you to death.

It's metropolitan area has over 2 million people. That's a major city, just spread out a bit, as is every other major city in the US other than NYC.
My first university experience was damn near 30 years ago. At the time it was standard for the professor to leave what ever was on the board/projector up long enough for the students to draw everything out.
My second time at uni was around 10 years ago. At that time, most of the professors had a PDF available for each lecture. The ones that did not have anything like that, I actually bulldozed my way into making one. I just made a big enough ass of myself to the point everyone gave up and let me do what I wanted.
I'm currently back at university for another degree, everyone seems to have got their act together these days, or their TA's have anyways.
