In summation: nobody wants likes cupcakes!!!!!

A fractal clock is wrong how many times per day?

Nwallins

This is oddly specific. I disagree.

Just want to confirm, there are zero unlocks on the unlock page that yield a reach vindex. The salvage achievement that the lockout message refers to yields a contact.

Rockin' the Catspaw!

Does anyone else see the irony of putting her on a ventilator?

I think the takeaway is that: while total human extinction is unlikely, you and your family and everyone you know will die prematurely and unnaturally

I like Jameson; it used to be too strong for me, but now I think of biscuits. It's a mild blended Irish whiskey, masterful IMHO in its consistency and inoffensiveness (par for its competitors). What I like more for cheaper is Evan Williams white label, Bottled In Bond, 100 proof, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Don't forget the other classic government intervention: restrict supply. It works great in concert with subsidize demand!

Check out AirChargedGaming; he has a whole Pacifist System which he monetizes, but offers a ton of free content. Some fundamentals I would teach:

  1. stay behind the ball as first man; try to keep it close and maintain possession, commensurate with boost
  2. when low on boost, try to safely rotate out with a pass, clear, or 50-50
  3. don't dive in on defense; fake challenge and shadow back on the inside, looking for a side flip to tackle
  4. never commit as last man; stay in the net, towards back post, and look for a clear or counter as the ball crosses in front
  5. etc etc

i see pepita, i upvote

Absolutely not! Are you kidding me?

Hi, kindred spirit. I am more of an engineer, FOH and recording, but I play guitar, drums, keyboard. Duane Allman is my guitar hero, but Jerry and Trey ain't slouching.

The Emperor's New Clothes

There is nothing new under the sun.

Gosh it sucks to be on the wrong side of history.

small_numbers[0] is unconditionally assigned; it will have a single element > 500.

Nwallins
smlen = 0;
for (int i = 0; i < 1000; i++) {
    small_numbers[smlen] = numbers[i];
    smlen += (numbers[i] < 500);
}

How is this correct? Let's imagine the input array is entirely above the 500 threshold. The resulting array of small numbers will have a single entry, the first number from the input array.

The chronically homeless don't want a solution, to begin with. Unless your PSH is willing to allow them to continue using, or refusing psychiatric medications, and will not impose consequences for the inevitable result (violence, prostitution, etc), they simply won't move in.

For you, this is an inescapable fact, due to confronting the nature of reality. Why does it seem that homeless advocacy orgs cannot confront this? Why isn't this the common knowledge, the received wisdom, the premise?

I am philosophically somewhat opposed to systemd, but pragmatically, I love it. This particular Linux Cathedral isn't perfect, but it has a cohesive, coherent vision that is better than the Linux Bazaar in many ways, but also with tradeoffs. I applaud non-systemd efforts, but I lean towards systemd.

Nwallins

I agree. But give me your innermost thoughts on Matt Yglesias.

Pray tell!

I am saying that for X to cause Y, X must be both necessary and sufficient for Y. What is necessary and sufficient for a heartbeat? Blood, blood flow, the brain, electrical activity, etc. Some are necessary, some are sufficient, many are both. But the brain does not cause a heartbeat anymore than blood does.

Nwallins

Yes, the football game preceded the factory crowd. Did it cause the factory crowd? I would be satisfied if this particular football game were both necessary and sufficient for such a crowd. I find it to be neither, and so causally irrelevant. (mostly)

Nwallins

I don't think a football game is necessary to cause a crowd on a glass factory roof, nor do I think it is sufficient. What is necessary and sufficient to cause a crowd on a glass factory roof is a critical mass of poor judgement for any spectacle, and this catastrophe is not causally relevant, only tangentially, to this football game.
