Objective_Spring_682
wow. were both cars caged?
Objective_Spring_682
thats swing arm suspension. common on bikes and baja truck rear suspensions
Objective_Spring_682
Objective_Spring_682
if you want the google docs. here you go mate
Objective_Spring_682
true. but like i said. partly takumi's fault
Objective_Spring_682
before anyone tries to correct me. a reminder both these cars were built for different disciplines. both the GNX and chevelle are my GM swiss army knives. i only brought the GNX to MFG to do hardware testing and see where i stack both as a professional driver, hot rodder. and engineer. i placed second overall which shows you dont need a factory team(i mean. does anybody know smokey yunick?)
Objective_Spring_682
i mean it depends. from someone like me who reads a rulebook. i mainly race hot rods(i have a google docs of the vehicles i personally as an OC race in MF Ghost)
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1D5pO5rTuGd6CwjbS3vWoKu-10O15MQh-aCQXPykgXZs/edit?usp=sharing
but yes MFG does allow custom built hot rods too. so i exploited on that fact and built 2 different cars. i raced my GNX since my chevelle was far too powerful(even on the same tires as everybody else. i have a huge handling. braking and power advantage. i have carbon ceramics with willwood dydnapro brakes on all four corners) and too realistic(again. the chevelle was my swiss army knife. i needed a car that could do everything i ask it to). and both are pretty legal given buick always had a GM based V6(the LC2 later evolved into phase II and phase 3. still same bore and stroke. and because it was GM. i could swap it out for the GM LU3 V6.). cant argue with engineering
Objective_Spring_682
and yes as i said before. that crash was easily preventable had takumi exercised due dilligence
Objective_Spring_682
now if you want the real answer between impact blue and kyoichi sudo. welp. i got the google docs if ya want it
Objective_Spring_682
still i partly blame takumi's wreck to be his own fault. after all he did have all the time to learn how to work on cars. know what the limits of parts are. and what fatigues and such can develop(again same applies to me. and i took cars seriously when i was 16. i can even list a part number for a vehicle too. literally helped someone last week with an E450 shuttlebus)
Objective_Spring_682
realistically speaking the lotus. considering the driver behind it is not only more skilled. but probably has actual track experience(in a comic i did. my dad beat takumi for the same reason. track experience and a better engineered platform. never sleep on foxbodies. not on the dragstrip or the circuit). plot armor wise takumi would still lose for one big reason. takumi is not a conditioned driver. so his stamina is going to be poor after a few runs
Objective_Spring_682
to be very honest. i dont know. maybe if its done right but by itself? i honestly cant say because im not very knowledgeable about the E30 series platform as a whole. all i know was that it was pretty successful in racing. thats about it. but initial D wise. probably very good. since there was a turbo 2002(which you can swap the engine out of into the E30). and also the platform itself stock i know is very good at handling(it embarrassed the C4 corvette for crying out loud till chevy stepped up their game later in the 90's)
Objective_Spring_682
yeah ouch. that is gonna hurt
Objective_Spring_682
to go into detail specifically given i race both virtually and irl(yes. i recently just got back from cali after practicing in a rally car. and wow. am i not prepared for WRC like caleb is). as a driver. you are mainly(and mostly) responsible for maintaining and repairing your vehicle even before getting behind the wheel. to do that, you need to have experience not just driving the car. but being able to know what parts are what(including how they work). and how to maintain and replace such. and guess who isnt a car nut? takumi fujiwara. he had every opportunity in initial D to learn the skills outside of racing to be an even better person as driver (as a whole) yet as we all know. he was basically "babied"(basically not taught properly and/or figuring out the skills by himself. including how to work on cars). thats why he failed rally and why his luck ran out. professional racing requires the ENTIRE car and driver mindset. not just drive the damn thing.
https://mfghost.fandom.com/wiki/Takumi_Fujiwara
thats what im referring to. and yes. takumi would have knowned before hand his driveshaft was on its way out had he inspected his vehicle. replaced said part(even before getting behind the wheel. its why i always replace certain parts on my cars. and so does caleb. (its called "preventative maintenance" for a reason and its going to me much more common even at the amateur level.) can really prevent alot of premature failures and career enders) and also had the knowledge before hand what can and cant fail on a vehicle. again. i always hold accountability. and takumi fujiwara is partly at fault for ending up in the wreck he did(whether he knew it or not. you still are responsible)
Objective_Spring_682
thats also correct. a bad driver in a good car will beat out a good driver in a bad car long term. thats just how it is. you cant simply outskill and out luck your way out of a hardware limit(thats partially the reason why takumi failed going pro long term. despite winning a championship. his luck ran out)
Objective_Spring_682
honestly sudo would beat them pretty easily. in my tests when i tested all the cars. it confirmed my suspicions of kyoichi sudo being the real king of akina(and makes sense. rally car driving is a nut job and a half on touge roads. and why WRC cars even at the time of initial D. would as u/ExcitingSector445 beat the absolute breaks on everyone. even keisuke. because kyoichi realistically and car wise doesnt have a weakness where, when and what he races. on top of having a google docs to prove such)
Objective_Spring_682
not exactly per say. this post yes cause i want some opinions where or what might have been wrong with this test. while ill admit im not the best driver. i still had to hold myself to a high level of accountability when i got these results.
Objective_Spring_682
yes but this time im wanting all of you to speak your mind. what ya think and what you think i can do. i do love initial D but i feel(to my own) there are some inaccuracies and i need someone who knows the material a bit better than me to correct some things
Objective_Spring_682
like i said i want yalls opinions. thats all i ask
Objective_Spring_682
tl:dr? whats that supposed to mean? im just asking anyone here what you guys think
Objective_Spring_682
yeah well try escaping in the current update. it wont be fun
Objective_Spring_682
by the way yeah i finally can make players bitch and cry LOL🤣
this screenshot is proof
Objective_Spring_682
especially if said cop vehicle is a gold spec R1T rivian(its what i use and it is nasty acceleration wise. it chews demons up bad)

or something replaces the devil Z(like my uncles GT40 clone called steel atlas)
