That's not a very fun response, champ.

it's social media that has people thinking they "need" some insane
The community's full of people who sound like they're trying to upsell at a big box store.
I've lost count of the number of requests for advice on a perfectly reasonable build for the purpose, which get inundated with comments telling OP they need to spend more.
Some dude asks about a productivity machine that might be used for a little light gaming, and they get advice as if they want to play AAA titles at max settings.
Occulto
Honestly it sounds like if they did use cameras OP would still have been accused of using some AI filter to change their appearance.
Occulto
That all comes down to your definition of "significant."
If you had $400,000 and lost $20,000, would that be a significant amount?

so you expected them to hold those seats in Brisbane knowing the context around how they won them? That's interesting and perhaps a simple misalignment of expectations.
I didn't expect their leader to lose. And yeah, some actual gains in other seats, to offset the seats in Brisbane.
You're emblematic of the Greens mentality. Lash out at any criticism, or try to reframe everything as a "well actually it wasn't a loss..."
This whole conversation is in a thread about Greens picking up disenfranchised voters. I'm not entirely sure what that means to the party faithful. Whether after the next election they'll sit round patting themselves on the back or offering excuses after increasing their primary vote without a corresponding increase in HoR seats, because "at least we didn't go backwards. Go us!"
It's like listening to a coach of a footy team that missed the finals (again) offering excuses that the team doesn't really have to change anything, because they could've finished lower on the ladder than they did, and critics should just STFU because obviously the plan worked and "finals aren't everything."

Your fixation with me is now getting weird.

I don’t think anyone denies that’s why it was such a big deal, the mockery was deserved.
Oh I've seen plenty of Indian fans use it as a rebuttal.
"If you don't care about the ODI WC that much, then why can't you STFU about it?"
Answer: because the average Australian fan knows it gives Indian fans the absolute shits.
Same with downplaying the BGT trophy losses in 17/18 and 20/21. I know plenty of Australian fans who were genuinely disappointed, but they weren't going to admit it publicly. Instead they downplayed it, as if it wasn't a big deal, and got a rise out of the Indian fans.
Almost like a consolation prize.

I would think that it's pretty obvious how HTV cards could end up being abused without laws like this.
HTV cards are registered with the Electoral Commission. When that happens, they're checked to make sure the HTV card is not misleading or will result in an invalid vote if someone follows it.
For instance, if a party had a HTV card which told people to number five boxes 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, it would not be allowed to be registered, because anyone who followed that would be screwing up their vote.
The original PHON HTV cards which were registered showed blank boxes other than 1 for PHON. So that's what needs to be handed out.
It's a pretty simple rule.
Just because something is law doesn't mean it is right.
So you're fine with ALP sending a bunch of supporters to "volunteer" for PHON, so they can fill out all the boxes and direct preferences to the ALP?
This law exists to stop that kind of bullshit.

According to the Electoral Commission of South Australia, distributing a how-to-vote card not substantially the same as the one lodged with it carries a fine of up to $5,000.

This completely ignores that Zionist has been a dog whistle term used by anti-Semites for years.
The morons on Stormfront back in the day, weren't indulging in nuanced political discussions when they said the world's problems can be attributed to "Zionists."

I think they're quite happy with John from London as long as Muhammad stays where the fuck he is.
I've never heard a PHON supporter complain about European migration. It's always complaints about Asians (including anyone from the Subcontinent), Africans and Arabs.
Muhammad overstays his visa and it's a sign of just how irresponsible our migration laws are, and why can't Home Affairs just deport the prick back to the shithole he came from?
John overstays his visa after coming out here as a backpacker? Well that's OK. He's just a tourist who's been a bit naughty. Not causing any harm and no reason to overreact, eh?

It's more like deciding the weekly shopping bill is too high, and the person eating 3000 calories at dinner points to the four other people at the table who eat 6000 calories between them, and says: "I'm not cutting back on my eating while you lot eat double what I do."

Libertarianism would work if people weren't cunts to others.
Unfortunately, a lot of Libertarians I have encountered, seem drawn to the philosophy because they quite like the idea of being cunts to others without any pesky consequences.

In Soviet Russia a man goes to buy a car... He goes up to the dealer and asks for a car, to which the dealer responds:
'You know there is a 10 year waiting list?'
The man then answers, 'OK,' and after some time he then agreed to buy a car.
So he pays for the car in advance, and just before he leaves he asks the dealer.
'Can I pick the car up in the morning or afternoon?'
'It's 10 years away, what does it matter?'
'The plumber is coming in the morning'.
Occulto
Yes, I'm sure you have multi-year waiting lists because everyone knows just how amazing your games are, and gamers swoon in your presence because they all want the honour of sharing your bed.
The merest five minutes at your table is like snorting cocaine, and those who have been barred require professional therapy to cope with the loss.
Edit: lol they blocked me.

They won't, landlords want people on offices so their expensive real estate isn't worthless.
A substantial amount of people's superannuation is tied up in commercial real estate, because it's long been considered low risk.
The large office building I work in, for instance is owned by an industry super fund (which they proudly advertise with stickers on the front doors).

It's a game, mate.
You think when people talk about "safety" they're talking about being physically hurt at the table?
"Ok, so after last week's... incident. We're now in agreement. No baseball bats to sort out differences. And definitely no shooting either."

I saw some moron trying to name drop a bunch of systems, like I give a shit.
You got the response you deserved.

What a lot of words to show how thin skinned you are.
The point is that shit's been happening to non-white kids around the world, and the majority of the people patting themselves on the back for "standing up for Gaza," have been silent.
Whether they didn't know, or didn't care to know, is irrelevant. It doesn't take much curiosity to google what's happening in the world outside Palestine.
But once again, that cursed strip of land in the Middle East has sucked the oxygen out of every discussion about every other atrocity in the world.
You're a kid in Gaza? Your image gets plastered on the internet, marches in the streets happen, people are demanding action, celebrities opening their wallets and so on.
You're a kid in Africa? You get sweet fuck all by comparison.
