Dang. I was in band a very long time ago. We had marching PE, plus our regular band periods so no zero hour, and practiced from 6 to 9 on Wednesdays. But that was it, Saturdays without a competition, I don't remember doing anything, though except pretty much every Saturday we had something, once the first competition kicked off. Oh yes, football games went really late, because our field couldn't handle the crowd, so we had them all at our sister school, close to 20 miles away, so that extended our Friday nights, unfortunately.

I was near a military installation. Twice I saw this happen, and immediately 5 or so guys jumped out of their cars (in one case, including me) and pushed them out of the intersection. The woman tried to help, but we all just said someone has to drive! Cost us 2 minutes of our time.

No it makes no sense. If the assumption is that the unit is doing bad things, then maybe. But it should be neutral, not sending that out like it's a command investigation into the he unit.

Yes, the acronym for the school on Bragg is SWCS, not SWCC. Special Warfare Center and School. So probably the Navy acronym.
