I mean, they keep helping with other nintendo games
and there's been suspicious teasing about how maybe one day they will be leading a Zelda game...
but yeah they keep making peak that's what they should be focusing on tbh

[Xenoblades]I'm just kinda going by the vibes, Genesis, Origin, hmmm. Takahashi did hint there's more story to tell about Malos, so this could be it. The vengence stuff could be misdirection.
[Xenoblades]I just feel like this whole new world is going to be revealed to be somehow connected to the Klaus saga. Bonus points if the final shot of the game is once again a mysterious object approaching the Earth - the xenoblade asymptote. I mean, this clearly doesn't seem to be the sequel to that thing, this isn't XC4.
[Xenoblades]That being said, I feel like XC4 will be the proper place to tell us more about Mythrakid and Malos, so this probably isn't related in that way. I'm betting against the odds with my silly remark.

new xenoblade? boring? after 3 was the best game ever made??
OctavePearl
best show of the E3 week solely because new Xenoblade holy fuck
OctavePearl
I don't have attention span to parse what's happening in the direct after the Xenoblade
man
best show of the e3 week
OctavePearl
XENOBLADEEEEEEE
EARLY BETTING ON THE FALLEN GOD BEING SOMEHOW MALOS BECAUSE WHY THE FUCK NOT
AAAAAAAAAAA

it's still terrible adaptation really
didn't rush past parts of the source material
Arguably did worse than that, shuffling content around with complete disregard for continuity errors it created resulted in a mess. And on one hand it's not that big of deal given it only ruined "covered" less than 2 volumes, on the other hand it's so antithetical to how rewarding novels feel when you pay attention and see the story and its ideas develop over time - the anime just clubs you to death with an avalanche of contradiction if you dare to actually think while watching it.
It didn't collapse the way sasakoi did, but damn it felt like it should.
OctavePearl
I hope it's nothing like BOTW, but gotta admit - if they were using BOTW/TOTK assets again, it would be really funny.
OctavePearl
tbh, I will probably get the remake when it comes, if it's real. Instead of "not interested", I guess better wording would be that I just don't have any pre-compiled hype built for it.

feels too early for next full game, that's a 2027 at earliest and I don't think we will see much of 2027 titles this Direct (unless Nintendo plans to reveal Q1 games today and the next Direct is in February instead of September)
Switch 2 edition for XC2 is probable but less exciting, especially if they fuck it up like XCX S2
worst case scenario they announce Xenoblade X2 and I jump off a bridge
OctavePearl
Fortune's Weave release date is really the only thing I need, everything else probably won't grab me too much. Switch 1's Zeldas didn't impress me much, so I can't be too excited about Ocarina.
too many games to play, will easily survive until XC4 in 2027/8
OctavePearl
tbh storage on NS2 feels a bit premium, I don't want to use it for genshin
but if they somehow optimize it really well and it looks great....
OctavePearl
if we speaking dreams - with how quickly Picnic novels became my favourite yuri ever, I would rather see that remade tbh
give it like five seasons of proper high budget adaptation, how hard could that possibly be /joke
OctavePearl
it's a Yuri anime, it's lore accurate that it doesn't have a second season
at least the one season it got was good actually
Sasakoi and Otherside Picnic could never
OctavePearl
I wonder if the new normal will be Nintendo holding back the Directs until they run out of announced games.
Real chance there will be no September one, and the next main Direct will be Jan/Feb 2027. Depending on how many games they announce today, of course.
OctavePearl
Our expectation to have DLC for a $80 game isn't unfair
Man, it's crazy world we live in. $80 price tag should mean the game is complete, there should be no need nor expectations for more content, more pricetags.
OctavePearl
I mean, it's not like the trailer is going to convey the details that matter.
Will the story be shit like Engage or Mid like 3H? Won't know that from the trailer. Will the lords be actually interesting characters like in 3H? Won't know that. Will it be actually fun to play like Engage? Won't know that.
It takes place literally in 3H's world, but that's really not enough to judge its quality. And visually it's similar to neither.
OctavePearl
I really want to believe but it feels too early
one last thing during the September direct like FE was last year
OctavePearl
the best comment chain in the history of reddit, maybe ever
I love smart people
OctavePearl
are you taking jrpg opinions from smash players?
OctavePearl
But the mangaka supports Trump, so you need to watch it while shaking your head to make your disagreement clear!
the discourse is already "fun"
OctavePearl
sucks when the game fundamentally not for you has a cool trailer
I can't for the love of all that's sacred imagine having fun with a game about silent male protagonist in high school setting, but man - P6 trailer was just vague and creepy enough that it creates an illusion of a good game.
if Switch 2 editions of numbered trilogy have the same fuckass ugly terrible implementation of upscaling I will personally strangle John Nintendo in his sleep
