How much CO2 does a private jet or yacht put out? How much pollution is put out by regular people versus the United States military?
OhhhNoose
The last time I moved the truck rental alone cost $5000 not counting the gas, for a 1 bedroom apartment's worth of stuff. We had to sell a lot just to cover that.
OhhhNoose
This is pathetic of you. Embarrassing.
OhhhNoose
True, but having been on both for quite a while now, twitter is much worse for you
OhhhNoose
They won't necessarily attack you, but they will nibble and test whatever they feel like. Katydid bites do hurt a bit.
OhhhNoose
No, but this is unprovoked violence.
OhhhNoose
I would also like to know, I'm a very impatient painter lol
OhhhNoose
Well the difference here is that murderers are usually bad and black/trans people are not inherently bad
OhhhNoose
They do, in fact, have a choice. They should go to therapy if they feel they don't.
OhhhNoose
What a weird way to spend your time

You have to remember, Yuma was historically a big floodplain. The Colorado river used to cover so many more square miles and dropped off tons of sediment before America dammed it. Yuma used to be a big cottonwood forest, even.
OhhhNoose
Yes. This affects people simply saying what their Instagram account is called.

Think I'd rather spend those 54 minutes making art rather than watching an infomercial on the scam machine
OhhhNoose
How bleak.

It is stealing chunks of images and essentially doing a fancy version of copy and paste. Now you might think that this is similar to how using references works, and it is, but only on the most surficial level. When an artist uses a reference, they're studying the work: the brush strokes, the texture, the anatomy, shading technique, etc. They do this and also impart a piece of their own style as they draw. The ai, however, cuts the piece out and only pays attention to the context in terms of shapes around the taken piece, at best while (poorly) gluing them together. The artist is adding, the ai merely copies. The ai doesn't know or care why anything is the way that it is in the picture. It doesn't care about the original artist's process. It adds nothing of its own, and the person using the ai also adds nothing.

There is nothing I can say that will convince you. There is nothing you will consider as theft.
OhhhNoose
AI stuff IS The slop.
OhhhNoose
The thievery is very evident in the air generated pictures with the mashed up traces of artist signatures. Like here.

Photography is far more than pushing a button. Setting your iso, setting your shutter speed, lining up your shot, making sure your lighting conditions are good, even getting the shot at all if your subject is moving...
OhhhNoose
Because by and large consumers will go with mass produced slop.
OhhhNoose
Because even using these tools is just that: using a tool. AI is a glorified Instagram filter and the output is more the creation of a computer than the input of a human.

Texas also has some really dogshit gerrymandering and polling problems (lack of machines/locations) unfortunately. Republicans have been in power for decades there so of course they'd make it as hard as possible to dethrone them.
