Today I learned that this was an option. Thank you!

I agree with that. While Treason is not a complete slog such as Alliances, and therefore a little better, it's still closer to this one. The first book felt different and was not just a lot better but, imho, one of the best Star Wars books I've read.
The Ascendency Trilogy is also not as good as the first "Thrawn" book but a lot better than Alliances or Treason.

I could indeed picture young Kain being petty enough to do this.

It's 2026 and I still messed up an entire tower trying to get Shujinko to do his fatality - to no avail, which led me here. I guess this is just bugged.

It still bothers me way too much that they just couldn't release the "High Republic" books in the same format and layout...
OmegaReprise
Star Trek (TNG, Voyager, DS9), Buffy, Babylon 5, Farscape, Firefly and Andromeda aren't "21st Century", though - if you go by when they started.
I agree with Menzalist and Blacklist - although I've never finished the latter one as it has gone downhill with the later seasons. But there are others on this list sharing the same fate...

Besides the questionable choices for their covers, Jude Watson's books are awesome. She created an entire continuity with recurring characters, time spanning story arcs and a genuinely great portrayal of the established Star Wars characters. (Qui-Gon, Yoda, Dooku and she is one of the very few to portray Mace Windu in a strict but positive way) I wished she would write more Star Wars books.

There is no way that "Ruins of Dantooine" will ever loose this title.

That's Siri Tachi, an OC from Jude Watson and Obi-Wan's secret crush in the Legends continuity.

I'm on season 2 myself right now and was confused/angry about that as well. And later, he manages to get his weapon and GPS tracker stolen by a child. Was he intentionally written as being incompetent or was that just bad writing itself? Good to know I'm not the only one wondering about this - even six years later.

I'm usually with you - I almost never preorder games or buy them within the first month, as I don't want to pay full price to be a beta tester.
As for MS, I just bought it a couple of days ago and so far, after around 30h (I'm on holidays), I only ever had one "glitch" where I was stuck between some rocks - reloaded and it was solved. Other than that, the game feels very "finished".
There is a nice farming glitch where you can open a bunch of chests in one area, collect the content, exit the game and reload to collect the content again (+ keeping the things you've received previously). That may be fixed in future updates, so this may be a thing you want to experience before it gets patched.

Don't think so. You can enter it (maybe only in Night mode, haven't been there during the day) and get a Mether's Pulse upgrade in the room behind. Careful, though, there is a blue flame and some annoying mobs.

Bonus points and a ticket to hell if you encounter them with Beastmaster and a Cu Sith summon.

For the people themselves: yes. Keep in mind that we only get to know their leading politicians. It was their decisions that we see in the show, not the life of average Tollan-Joe.
Also, viewers tend to forget their background story: they once tried to help a less advanced human planet with their superior technology and it took them mere days to annihilate themselves and ruin the entire solar system up to a point that made the Tollan Homeworld an uninhabitable wasteland with countless Tollans dying and the rest of them needing to relocate to another planet. Their "we don't share our technology to prevent that from ever happen again" approach is very understandable!
Stargate USA is also a very sugar-coated version of how the real world works. If our actual earth would ever encounter Tollans I'd hope that they would NOT share their technology with us! Imagine certain real world superpower leaders getting their hands on stuff like that. Hell no!
OmegaReprise
Cool, thanks. I better make use of this before it gets patched.
OmegaReprise
I haven't been there yet, so: can I do that repeatedly? Opening all the chests, collecting gloomy, exit the game and repeat? It does work with other chests.

Vader is the kind of employee who knows that he is (almost) irreplaceable in his company and can get away with (almost) anything.

I have my main weapon and main sidearm at Lv 16 and I'm not in NG+ yet, so yes, this is very well possible. I even have some materials left but I'm not sure if it would be enough for a third Lv. 16 weapon.

Or the Dune 2 popcorn bucket.

I take them over those stupid crossbow heads any time. They give me Anor Londo flashbacks...
OmegaReprise
Summoning Grishas basically switched the difficulty setting for this fight to "very easy", as they just knock him down constantly.
OmegaReprise
Goliath totally did that in "The Awakening" and we all chose to ignore it!
OmegaReprise
That already bugged me in SG-1. Earth transferred their gate into a secret, high security bunker with tons of (partially stupid) security measures but every other world just lets it standing in some unprotected, remote area - even on Jaffa worlds.
OmegaReprise
I agree. I forgot to mention them as a good example but I really liked both games as well.
Spiele als Proxima und wähle "Eier abzapfen" für das geheime Ende!
