In most non-English European languages Quina was a she, so... it depends on your language

If Ultimecia was dead... Rinoa would have unintentionally slurped her Sorceress essence like it was a sherbet, and since that wasn't the case you can assume that she will return at some point 'cause she ain't dead

Btw, for those that do not get the reference since they haven't played VIII: a Sorceress can't truly die unless there's another Sorceress or Sorceress-to-be nearby to absorb the powers of the dying one. Rinoa became one this way, for example

"Chaos Shrine -Dissidia Arrange ver.- from FINAL FANTASY I", a track from Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy

Feral Links in XIII-2 were basically the Force Ability equivalents of that game (in the way of the playable character doing a dual technique with another character), Serah's BT is a Feral Link (it's even on the name of the Finishing Burst: "Reunion's Feral Link")

I assume it's an excerpt of the episode of the show she was in and that was tied to the video, maybe?
Considering that she is advertising it, I wouldn't rule it out

Yeah... I got told by a friend like half an hour after I posted this...
I KNEW it was a XII VA... I totally failed with the association TT__TT

This tweet was made to promote some sort of JP Youtube show that Marina Kozawa-san has attended (I don't know if it's even made by SQEX since it says to me that it's private).

Wishywashy translation:

"Director Yumi! Director Yumi!
Her Highness Ashe reporting for duty!
I'm so happy and so excited!
-plug for the show-"

I love when VAs do gaming stuff with the games they are voicing! I'm used to it due to the Western voice actors doing it, but this was unexpected and cute!

But a full party member in OG, AND considering that the rest of the cast is from OG VII, don't expect Remake Nanaki lol

She was an evasion tank in BE, OH THE IRONY

We can still get GL first characters, that statement Joshua did was only regards the Anniversary last year and the campaign for it.

Alas, thinking that Nanaki can be a GL first character when every GL first character was a guest party member (and I don't think they'll break the pattern) is like me thinking that I'm half-alien: not happening.

The Opera Omnia artwork seems to be based on her REMAKE official render just by comparing poses, so this is going to be interesting if she is the first character to pop in this game from the Remake continuity

"This is the Last Battle (NT Arrangement)" is the track used!

It's part of the DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK Vol.3 album.

It's a long story actually, but to keep it short: the battle system in Arcade/NT is what they wanted to implement in the PSP Dissidias more than 10 years ago.

You see, the development of both PSP Dissidias was lil' bumpy because of this, with the battle system they had (or at least OG had) being made fast & furious once the hardware showed signs of not properly handling more than 2 characters fighting at the same time. Then, they tried again when developing Duodecim, which resulted in them learning that 2 more characters (4 total) could be handled by the PSP if they only did an action or two and then retreat from the battle. Sounds familiar? That's the inception of the Assist mechanic! (Also, it makes sense why the PSP Dissidias are SO blatantly unbalanced if we consider that the battle system was made in a rush)

However, that wasn't the only thing they tested out. Using a PS3, they created a Duodecim beta with 3v3 implemented... which would then be used as a base for the Dissidia Arcade/NT project. And that's how Arcade came to be, which then spawned NT as a port.

But yeah, it wasn't whims of fate or anything, the team just wanted to make the game they originally intended for the 20th Anniversary and which couldn't do due to hardware limitations.

"Why not releasing the game on PS3 then?" you could argue. That I do not know, but considering the massive influx of titles Square Enix released for the PSP, it might have been a contract agreement coming from Sony, idk

As for what holds the future:

• Nomura and Director Hazama want to continue Dissidia in the 3v3/party fighting game lane.
• Director Kujiraoka (which was one of the minds behind the PSP Dissidia's "Plan B" combat system) is betting on returning to 1v1.

Time will tell us what happens with this subfranchise, until then... Opera Omnia is the best narrative-driven Dissidia, it has 165 characters so far and its free.

(HW MSQ 3.0 spoilers)
I have a theory, a GAAAAAME THEORY, of why this is the glow chosen and what it represents: Haurchefant's death.
Think about it:

• The Round Weapons are based on Thordan and the Heavens' Ward... Haurchy died by a transformed Zephirin's hand, one of the Primal Heaven's Wards.
• The orange glow is clearly based on the afternoon orange ambient lighting of our assault to the Vault that day if this theory of mine is correct.
• The glyphs and symbols on the glow remind of the gothic architectural style... which Ishgard is full of, and which was widely known for the churches and cathedrals it birthed IRL (like Notre Dame). The Vault is one such a building.

So yeah... Dragonsong Weapons? More like POKING THE WOUND AGAIN Weapons.

In FFX Will, one of the new characters (Chuami) is said to be Auron's daughter fruit from a secret short affair. And while Lulu confronts her and outright tells her that she has nothing in common with Auron... Chuami is as unruly as Auron was when he was younger, as shown in the Sphere flashbacks and his backstory.

but inkwelder_ think that whales are the only ones who keep the game alive and they are a lot

This is the line that shows that you have absolutely NO idea of what you are talking about, sorry.

Gimme that dose of copium.

Actually, his BT weapon is based on Joyeuse and Swordbreaker BUT it isn't neither of them.
The Joyeuse twin weapon is called "Save the Prince", we don't know the Swordbreaker twin weapon's name tho.

And yeah, the FR weapon is Zargabaath's, good eye!

Enjoy the "YA HOOOOOOO"!

Last time someone said anything it was Disney, and they said the KH characters are theirs, so...

Ngl, Jack looks like a match made for this game.
I can't wait for him to be here and his special effect is called "Bullshit" and the icon is a cellphone.

An alternate costume would be the Garlond Ironworks outfit that Alpha gets in FFXIV.

...oh no, NOW I REALLY WANT THIS

"Celebration of everything Final Fantasy" is the tagline for every FF crossover, some of which Sora is in, so not much of a counterargument.

Those games don't have Nomura himself as one of the recognizable heads tho.

This community is pretty hypocritical anyway.

Sonic, I've known you for many years of seeing you around, I know you have issues with the OO community but it doesn't help that you put yourself the target in your head for the rest to try and headshot you. You are putting yourself in this situation, stop it, it pains me to see that you turn yourself into a piñata. You are better than that.
