Its probably canonically some like Lyoko thing and realistically some animation thing, but its funnier to assume she just has a sense of humor. She gets a laugh out of making the others wait just a little bit longer, somehow knowing they'll still be okay.

The only times she changes this are if its Jeremie bc shes biased and if she needs to interrupt something like she did Ulrich and Yumi bc thats funnier.

Yes. None of the Lyoko Warriors are bad people. They're flawed because they're teenagers faced with the biggest challenge anyone could ever imagine that haunts them day and night for years, but they're not bad.

I like some of the ideas, but I feel like the premise of the Lyoko Warriors drifting apart and becoming distant and especially Aelita ending up resenting Jeremie would fly completely in the face of the existing canon and end up being less of a Code Lyoko sequel and more like an AU.

Aelita is legitimately holding hands with her boyfriend in the elevator while romantic music plays. Straight up there is a far more obvious romance in this exact scene.

What she feels for William is relief, empathy, and probably a bit of understanding, seeing as they both had to be freed from XANA. Its not romance.

The plan was objectively kinda stupid on XANAs end, because theres a very obvious foil.

It just happened that Odd reacted in the physical worst way he could have when Jeremie asked the extremely legitimate question of "Did you give my girlfriend a necklace on Valentine's Day" and so XANA got to get away with it. Had Odd just said "no" then XANAs plan is entirely fooled.

The correct answer is it's both Jeremie and Aelita. They're both extremely crucial to the story, and removing either one completely changes the story of Code Lyoko so much its unrecognizable as Code Lyoko. Removing Jeremie gives us a story without a catalyst, no event that pushes it to occur, and thus makes everything fall apart. Removing Aelita gives us Garage Kids, which is so fundamentally different to the Code Lyoko we got that its a different story entirely. Removing any other character (besides XANA, but well) still leaves us with Code Lyoko, just missing something.

At least three of them need therapy probably for the rest of their lives.
