Ono-Sendai

why would they be invisible to radar?

Ono-Sendai

Not sure about all that stuff. It sounds like a highly dubious idea to me too, at least in the near future.

Ono-Sendai

cheap solar energy

Ono-Sendai

Turns out using a shaped charge is more effective

Ono-Sendai

You don't need to use particles though, could use a grid.

Ono-Sendai

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I should add some examples.

Check new build, should hopefully work now: https://github.com/Ono-Sendai/terraingen/releases/tag/v0.2

Ok released new build, hopefully it actually works for people now: https://github.com/Ono-Sendai/terraingen/releases/tag/v0.2

Ono-Sendai

np!

Ono-Sendai

Oh yeah I left a hard coded path in there, d'oh. Will fix tmrw and make a new build.

Hi all, this is something I whipped up over the last few days. You can view it yourself in-app here: https://substrata.info/

or check the source code: https://github.com/glaretechnologies/glare-core

I might write up a little document on how to acheive this effect as well.

Ono-Sendai

Hi John, good stuff, I have something similar: https://github.com/glaretechnologies/substrata

One thing I noticed in your video is that it looks like you don't have anisotropic filtering (with mipmaps) enabled, hence you are getting texture shimmer / aliasing.

Ono-Sendai

I don't think an APFSDS round would show up on video like this. The 'darts' are pretty slim and travelling extremely fast.

Ono-Sendai

That is correct. Blurring and then clipping/clamping the result to white is not reversible however.

Ono-Sendai

Probably needed to lead the target more

Ono-Sendai

z buffer issue? are you disabling depth tests?

Ono-Sendai

hard to say without knowing more details. I have encountered that mixing MSAA and logarithmic depth buffer though.
