They surprisingly do enforce the exhaust laws. Yes, plenty of BMWs/Benzs drive with loud exhaust in Glendale… still… but if there is an officer around, they will absolutely pull them over for that. Glendale PD doesn’t investigate fraud but it will 100% go after loud cars and tinted windshields. Almost everyday I see someone pulled over on Brand for car mods.

Max is 6th in the WDC, isn’t on this poster, yet every comment shoehorns Max into the convo. This year ain’t about Max, he ain’t a serious contender. F1 does not equal Max. There are talented drivers that have earned their points this year and are deserving that are not Max.

There will be a lot of complaining from Vegas workers as they rake in the big money.

I’ve been to the last three Vegas GPs and dude… the amount of money being dropped on services, products and tips is wild. High limit rooms are packed, restaurants are packed and tipped employees are doing well. All the uber black drivers I spoke to were super happy to have F1 because it’s non-stop work for them.

The downside is the increased amount of work to non-tipped employees (retail, custodial, etc). Some of the hotel restrooms around the track entry points (like the horseshoe), were being used… a lot. The custodians did such an amazing job keeping up with the work. I just hope F1 creates clauses in their contracts with hotels to take care of non-tipped employees. Forcing the hotel to pay bonuses/higher rates during the F1 weekend for non-tipped employees.

I know it’s extremely unpopular on this subreddit, but a Vegas double header weekend makes sense on so many levels. The weather is usually good (rain last year was extremely rare in the desert). The paddock is permanent, everything can easily be stored for one additional weekend. The stands are already built. Vegas can quickly provide all the necessary logistics to cater an event of this scale on a relatively last minute notice: a lot of hotels, a lot of food, a lot of labor, flexible policing, etc. The streets that need to be closed during the races are streets that normally see grid lock traffic almost every weekend.

Again, I know Vegas GP is the least favorite GP on this subreddit but it makes sense.

I can blame them if they close public land and public roads to the public while allowing only certain people to enjoy it. We had the civil rights movement to specifically end this.
