It could just be the styling or angle. Did you cut your bangs yourself? Boy I got a little wild a few years ago and cut my own bangs. It looked off but I couldnt pinpoint why. After a few months of leaving it alone I actually got it cut, it still looked weird ...she asked " do you like it?" I sat staring at myself in the mirror still feeling horrible about myself and hair despite in the past when getting bangs I felt like a bad bitch(lol). It took everything in me to say "no... it still looks off to me, is that because of my botched bangs I gave myself? Or can we work a bit more?" She was honest and said yeah my bad cut prior was why it still looked a little off. Instead of the tiny triangle then blending to my hair, I Cut too much off for my bangs. Long story short you have to give it time to fully grow out the sides again, and it will look a bit off during that time, but it will get better and better. Looks like you may have cut the bangs too far too, or maybe its been a slow cycle everytime you trim your bangs you take more of your face framing hairs off too. I dont know. It honestly doesnt look bad. I dont know what your personal style or vibe is, but it looks like the haircuts cute artsy girls often wear. Just ride it out, it sucks but you got this! Could also invest in a wig that makes you confident and happy while your hair grows back (read your other replies).

See this is exaclty what I mean. Nobody knows your past. They don't know how others made you feel. They see a trait they may be envious of - and because it may then make them feel insecure they lash out (usually in a passive aggresive manner) to someone who truly had no ill intent. They just take into account their feelings of envy and want to bring you down too. Its not right, but its something that is sadly part of human nature, its subconcious. Any subs that deal with outward appearance has this. Many people who are insecure frequent these subs. Many may feel subconciously jealous and then passive aggresively lash out. The r/kibbe subreddit is terrible in regards to this. Something that should be about helping and uplifting people to find their best styles is FILLED with passive aggressive nastiness. And honestly many probably don't realize how toxic they're being or why theyre gatekeeping such trivial things. Its sad honestly. People on here really love to gatekeep green eyes. Its honestly strange and weird.
And karma means NOTHING, maybe bragging rights? This whole website is filled with this kind of gatekeeping nastiness, youll see so many reasonable posts or comments downvoted because theres many petty insecure people. You didnt do anything wrong. In a way neither did the people being being negative, they just don't have a healthy way of coping (not trying to excuse their behavior, just saying they also deserve some grace/ understanding and help). I just hope they can overcome their issues in a healthy way and understand why they feel the need to lash out, that they can heal and grow. Instead of putting their pain and negativity on others.
Sorry for the long rants lol, I'm just so sick of always seeing the needless nastiness thats all over this app. Insecurity is normal, people are hard on themselves no matter who they are. Even the most beautiful women you can think of is insecure, does that mean shes lying and is a bad person? No! Insecurity came free with your existance. The things your insecure about are things other people love about you, if they dont then theyre not the people you should be wasting your time with anyway. Jealousy does nothing but steal joy, looking at the positives and accepting is the best thing you can do. Understanding and empathy will go a long way. Not just for others but for yourself too.
Ive also experinced the same of being put down for my eye and hair color. Usually its just banter, (if its friends/family) usually its not meant in a serious way to belittle you. It may feel that way. Sometimes it is a way to put their insecurities on you, like I said before we all want what we cant have, typically people who are able to produce a lot of melanin are shamed by their families. The more white presenting children are treated better by their own family, so seeing someone with the opposite issue (being treated poorly because of their fair skin or light features) it makes them frustrated. Your sisters probably have experinced colorism and subconciously take the pain out on you. I was always teased for my red hair and pale skin growing up, prayed and wished I could have been born with tan skin and black hair. But my bf experinced the opposite. He was darker than his brother. His latino mom always praised his brother and bragged about how light his features are, while theyd joke about how brown my bf was. I prayed for the same features my bf was made to believe were ugly. He also prayed for my light features that I was made to believe were ugly. Sorry for ranting again lol. Just want to show were all human and people want what you wish you could get rid of. The same way you want things they wish they could get rid of.
Do you have family that came out of Illinois? You look so much like my grandmother (old photos of her) and close to my aunts. It's almost scary how much you look like my grandma
