I’m currently pregnant with my 3rd.
I’ve took the full 12 months with each of mine and will again with this one, but I am NHS so I split my pay over 12 months and I also work as many bank shifts as I can to get paid as much as possible between 17-25 weeks so my OMP isn’t as horrendous. I couldn’t do it with my 2nd as I got pregnant on mat leave and my OMP was awful, that was a difficult year!
We usually split 50/50 but when I was on such a reduced pay we did more 80/20- there’s calculators online that you input your outgoings/income into and it tells you what percent each person pays. Partner was happy to take on a bigger chunk and he took on overtime where he could so I could stay at home.
We didn’t have any savings and to be honest we just cut back quite a lot and managed with what we had! It was tight but it was fine, we managed and have obviously decided to do it again! 😂

Thank you for this insanely kind reply!! We’ve just bought our first house so I think I was already feeling quite anxious under the surface which is probably why that sub got under my skin so easily.
But I truly am very excited, I’m excited for him or her to meet their big brothers and to grow up in a house full of the best chaos and noise. I’m excited for the future to have them all back around the dinner table when they’re grown up. I adore my boys more than anything but we always felt there was one more to join us, so my plan is to not open posts like that anymore or let them get in my head!!

His cracker snapped while I was buttering it after he’d already pre warned me he didn’t want me to snap it 😛

Yes, originally decided it would be stretching our budget too much so tried to forget I’d seen it on Rightmove and we viewed a few do-er uppers. But they were PROJECTS. And realised the amount we’d be spending per month would be on par with the ready to live in house.
So went to view it, fell in love, went back to view a second time a couple days later and put an offer straight in. So I still class it as the first house 😂 it just felt right, it ticked all our boxes with minimal compromise. Currently in the process now, searches came back today, mortgage valuation tomorrow, it’s all very exciting and we absolutely can’t wait to live there- just dreading packing 😂

I love this so much, mine will be 3 under 4 for a couple of months, I had 2 under 2 so we’re well used to the chaos!! They’re 3 and 20 months now, currently eating their lunch and singing along to the wheels on the bus on the Alexa. I’ve got 2 boys at the min and I just love it so much

First was 4 cycles
Second was a totally surprise at 9 months pp so no TTC!
Third (current pregnancy) was first cycle

We don’t care (midwife here) so whatever makes you feel comfortable. Personally I despise pubic hair on myself so get waxed every 5 weeks and timed my last one the day before my c section 👌🏼 honestly I just can’t cope with the thought of lochia and pubic hair but that’s just my preference!!

Currently have 2 boys, 3 and 20 months & we’re ttc no.3. At the min our boys share and we have an attic room but it’s not really fit for much due to the sloping ceilings, we’re hoping to buy in the next few months (1000 sq foot roughly). The boys will share until they’re older in a triple bunk then oldest can move into 3rd bedroom. We’ve found a house we like with potential for extension over the garage otherwise in 10+ years we’d look to buy somewhere else with more space.
Car wise we’re thinking either a Peugeot 5008 (not the newer models as they’ve got rid of the 3 full size back seats) or a Citroen grand Picasso.
And we absolutely could not survive without a tumble drier!! I love drying on the line in summer but this is England and the weather is too unpredictable sometimes, we have a heat pump drier that doesn’t cost a fortune to run, good job as it’s on pretty much every single day 😂

He’s just turned 3 and honestly just loves his sleep 😂 he still naps 1.5 hours most days (not at nursery which is weds/thurs/fri) and is in bed for 6:30pm and gets up between 7-7:30am! Honestly some days I think he’d sleep in all morning if his little brother didn’t wake him up wanting to play at 7!

Yes but I had to work for it, started CICO when #2 was 2 months old (carefully as I was breastfeeding) and returned to CrossFit slowly (trained through both pregnancies but deliver via elcs so I don’t rush back in). Lost all the weight I needed to over about 10 months and maintaining it now (#2 is 19 months). Except now we want #3 so that’s gonna mess it all up 😂

I’ve got an almost 3 year old and an 18 month old, being early pregnant with a 9 month old wasn’t fun lol
We really want a 3rd but I don’t enjoy being pregnant at all, I’ll just suck it up and do it but I need to mentally prepare first 😂

Jolene by Dolly Parton & “the turtle song” AKA Over in the Meadow by Charlie Hope. Thank god for Spotify “exclude from taste profile” haha

Kindle is so much better on my eyes than using the kindle app on my iPad. Plus can see it outside. Also when reading at night in bed turning the brightness down and warm up so it’s still clear and I’m not straining my eyes but it’s also not blinding me in the darkness is so useful

Only one in my family with migraines here! I do remember my mum getting bad headaches when I was young but she doesn’t feel she’s ever had a migraine. Dad has never had one either! My partner and family don’t suffer either so I’m hopeful my 2 little boys will avoid it 🤞🏼

I didn’t labour I chose to have ELCS with our boys however we didn’t tell anyone that with our first and we didn’t tell anyone the date. They found out in the evening when we were ready to FaceTime. Second baby just my sister knew as she babysat our first. The same would have applied if I’d laboured, we wouldn’t have told anyone until baby was born and we were ready.
Also made sure my partner knew that if things went massively tits up and I ended up unwell/in ICU then no one was to visit/hold my baby before I was awake and had done so (tbf I wouldn’t have minded if it was my parents & sister but I’d be raging for the rest of my life if it was his parents & sister so it was just easier to say no one 😂). Thankfully this didn’t happen lol

God I love Sallys Baking!! Her vanilla cake recipe is my go to, I just used that in my friends wedding cake actually as well as her lemon sponge. They taste SO good and always come out perfectly. If I ever want a new recipe I always check Sallys recipes out first to see if she has what I want!

We told “early” with both of ours. Had early scans at 8 weeks then told our friends and families. We were so excited. I wanted my babies to be celebrated, even if the worst had happened I wanted to share them and the excitement as soon as possible. Plus having the support if it had ended in miscarriage would have been invaluable to us. So I am all for telling people when you want to and not by the arbitrary “12 week rule”!

They are, all wrapped in florist tape and in posy picks

Well both me and husband on nightshifts weds and thurs and as I can’t survive 72 hours with no sleep mine will definitely be going! Last year they just wanted them to take swim nappies and they had the sprinklers and water trays out in the garden so I imagine they will be planning something similar!

Try a different triptan.
Sumatriptan doesn’t agree with me and it’s got worse each time I’ve taken it. It genuinely makes me feel like I’m going to die it makes my chest so heavy, it makes my face feel weird and my head feel too heavy for my neck. I hate it. The last time I took it it also made me puke like mad with the most horrendous nausea, to the point my partner had to come home from work to care for our little kids because I couldn’t move.
I can take Frovatriptan however with minimal side effects. It makes me yawn non stop for about 2 hours but that’s it. If I take it immediately as soon as I feel the pain starting it’s pretty effective
We’ve just bought our first home, mortgage offer received today 🎉 we went for 5 years. Our mortgage is quite large and to be honest I feel too risk averse at the moment to consider 2 years
