Don’t do that. Everyone around you will not be better off. They will 100% miss you everyday for the rest of their lives. You do you. But you must know that. You will be missed

Particular_Round1730

Just what Canada needs more Haitian immigrants.

We have a free trade deal w Europe already since 2017 actually. It’s called CETA it’s barely worth the paper it’s written on bc Belgium Italy and France among others refuse to sign on. All this is is politically grandstanding. Busy body work that allows both Canada and European leaders to show America how “independent” they are. It’s a complete waste of time. Carney should be focusing his efforts on balancing the budget. Reforming our tax system and reforming our major social services many of which were designed nearly 3 generations ago. Running around getting chummy w Europe and signing deals w turkey (which makes up less than 1/10 of 1% of our total trade) is a waste of time.

And sorry a quick google search indicates Germany has roughly 1/5 who are foreign born. Canada has 1/4 foreign born. But I was surprised Germany had that many foreign born. So thanks for that tidbit of info. I appreciate learning new things.

Particular_Round1730

Feel free to move to Brazil or South Africa then. And do all those people in Germany speak German. Probably most. So 25% of their population doesn’t speak French. How many FN communities does Germany have again? Or distinct cultural groups like people from the maritimes. It takes approx three days to drive from St. John’s to Vancouver. You can drive across Germany and not even have to sleep. How cultural different do you think a Vancouver resident is from a St. John’s resident? All the countries you listed in your original post can fit inside of Ontario geographical speaking and Ontario isn’t even our largest province.

You’re misconstruing my words. Nobodies forcing anyone to live anywhere. But expecting first world living standards in the middle of the bush is a bridge too far. Stay if you want but over the next 30 years expect less funding. Give incentives now to move closer to civilization

Particular_Round1730

Why do these people not go to jury trials. There is no way I’m convicting this guy if I’m on that jury. None.

Particular_Round1730

You mean small geographical areas with largely homogeneous populations.

Particular_Round1730

Um where do you live. In every province in Canada rural tidings have way more power than cities per capita. Look at Brampton there’s 650k people there. They have like 4 seats. There’s a dozen seats in northern Ontario. There’s way less than 650k people further north of parry sound.

Renting makes sense if the following apply.
1. You move around or could move around for work or are prone to just saying I’m out and resettling someplace else quickly. Or if you’re constantly way for work and have little time to maintain a home.
2. You have a low price rent option that’s saving you real money. It’s long term and you’re reinvesting the difference into equity stocks or other investment assets.
3. You don’t make a lot of money and don’t want to be house poor.

Otherwise if none apply. It’s gonna suck having a rent payment at 70 dude.

100% an accurate assessment of our oil situation. We love selling trees to Sweden and China and buying back furniture don’t we? But past that obvious nonsense . Guaranteed the federal coffers will be up 7-10% from last year buoyed largely from gold and oil prices mostly oil.

Particular_Round1730

I’ll bite. How did you think it was going to go my man? By that I ask North America is the third largest land mass on earth. It was inevitable someone sometime would wash up on it. Upon discovering there were large groups of people who had no real weapons. No metal. No wheels. No cities and zero real agriculture notwithstanding the sister crops. How did you think it would go 500 years go. They would simply go home. Oops sorry my bad you called it already okay see you later. There was only two ways it was going down. But it was going down. Mistakes were made of course they were. They’re was never going to be a clean way of saying we have guns you don’t. Bugger off. I’m going to say something here. And it’s going to a sting. Get over it. You have a lot of Canadians who want to see you succeed. But this is our land and you stole it nonsense is a sure fire way to lose any support you have other than the diehards and more and more Canadians are moving past what happened well before any of us were born. You should too. Take the goodwill. Take the money and build a healthy society not one where you spend most of your time being an injustice collector

Particular_Round1730

If you think your partner is cheating. They’re probably cheating. Or purposely being distance bc they’re planning an epic surprise party (I’ve watched way too many sitcoms over the years) is it your bday coming up. No then they cheating my man.

Particular_Round1730

They can do whatever they want out there. Just don’t expect $37B to do it forever. Right now Canada is a resource boom. Gold mines closed for 25 years are suddenly profitable. Oil money is flooding the coffers. Until its not. Resource prices go up and down. When they’re down btwn oas. Healthcare. Govt workers and fn spending what do you legit seeing getting cut there first?

Particular_Round1730

An immigration is someone who was born in an another country and moved here. A first generation immigrant is their child who was born here in Canada but born to an immigrant parent or parents.

Particular_Round1730

Forced no. Just letting them know Canadas won’t fund remote and isolated reserves with less than 5k people who live there full time. And where the leaders aren’t democratically elected. Set a firm end date of say Jan 1 2035. That gives them alot of time to decide priorities and if needed band together w other isolated reserves. Pick the best land and make a larger area.

Particular_Round1730

I get that. I do. But when a reserve is 465km north of Thunder Bay someone has to say it. You can visit. But living there is nonsense. Give them incentive to move closer to urban areas or take up farming if they want to stay remote.

Particular_Round1730

Problem is pro business and hereditary usually means bribery. Most companies don’t engage in outright give us or else tactics. Not for the actual bribery aspect but for the fact that hereditary chiefs are just really greedy

Particular_Round1730

What Pipline agenda. There is zero companies right now looking at ever building another pipeline in Canada. Any new pipeline built will have to be financed by the govt or at the very least financial backstopped by the govt to the tune of tens of billions of dollars. Most smart people know this for fact there will never be another pipeline capable of delivering 1-1.5m barrels a day of oil ever built in Canada again. Guyana has increased their oil production to almost a million barrels a day in the last 6 years for 1/30th of what it cost in Canada.

Particular_Round1730

No it’s very odd. I’m married to a French wife. Beside specific words that are near impossible to translate or brand names it’s almost never they go from English to French and back mid speaking.

Particular_Round1730

OkY you and I clearly live in different parts of the world. I live in reality. You live in a dream world. Have a great night.

Particular_Round1730

What capex would that be exactly?

Particular_Round1730

1/2 of this country is either immigrants or first generation immigrants most of whom moved for economic reasons (bc nobody moved here for the weather) give them incentive to move. But move they must.

Particular_Round1730

That’s literally how you judge whether the economy is doing well. Look 10 years ago Canada spent about 10 mid size city hospital budgets on just interest payments annually. Today we spend about 120 mid size city hospital budgets on just interest payments. We could fund every hospital in the top 25 most populated cities in Canada with just what we pay to cover the interest. So ya it’s important. In 10 more years wo some serious financial reform it will be 200 hospital budgets.

Particular_Round1730

1/3 of every adult in Canada is so bad off they need govt money to buy groceries. That’s vote buying. Cmon. I’m all for helping extremely poor people. Carney is trying to shift a lot of his costs into capex and saying it’s an investment. Trudeau did the same thing. It’s. A social infrastructure investment. I’m a CPA. The deficit will come in 55b at least in a few weeks on revenue that grew 7-10% from last year. I’ll bet $1000 on that.
