who are they?
Pas__
:(
so far this aspect is the ugliest. you set too high expectations, then you don't meet them.
and yeah, shoot for the moon, even if you miss you are among the stars.
yeah, well, good luck suffocating in space alone you lazy asstronaut.

cleaning only works for serial killers, but that's how they catch them. do you want to get caught? see, that's what I thought!

it'll be breaking news on CNN for the next two weeks

depends on which dark lord (just not a vegan again), and how good of a necromancer she is

it's completely ridiculous that people don't understand that the same issues will show up whoever the owner is.
if everyone owns their apartment but someone gets a job in a different part of the state then they will need to ask someone to couchsurf there (or rent a room or live in an RV or whatever) until they can buy a whole fucking house just to take the job. (and when you get fired you need to sell immediately, since you can't rent it out.)

not all voters are Parisians
nothing new here, exactly. French voters are just as susceptible to chauvinistic bullshit as anyone else

true, pumping water is really really simple and cheap compared to making a pressure vessel and then doing underwater maintenance.
at this point simply using old (oil) wells might make sense as heat exchangers. though fiddling with a secondary coolant loop might not worth it compared to using adiabatic hybrid coolers (which run dry when the air is cold enough)

as long as you have a single writer SQLite is amazing
with multiple writers there's no point to not go for PostgreSQL
of course if you want to do some kind of local durable message bus between multiple applications on one node, sure SQLite (or maybe a write-optimized franken-sibling of it, like LumoSQL), why not
but usually the moment you need to sync schema changes across multiple reader-writer clients you probably need something with a bit more operational knobs (access control, and to decouple the DB from the writers)

yes, it's rude to disturb people during ovulation, ejaculation, copulation

not so simple, see the London underground clay oven problem
Pas__
there's no problem with that. but let the market price the value of those services and employees.
most of school is absolutely useless anyway

it was not necessary, but the nature of the project made it worthwhile. Bun was made with the "move very fast, things are already broken in the JS world" mindset. (which in the end seems to have paid off for the project)
but Bun was in the sorry state that it had a lot of smaller but very annoying bugs (both NodeJS compatibility-wise and simply the usual bugs expected in a million lines of complex code that embeds a JS interpreter and a ton of IO loops and whatnot)
moving to Rust made sense to benefit from the stronger compiler, even at the cost of introducing more bugs (since at that time they were already waist deep in LLMs)
and doing some fundamental structural changes to the codebase helped to make their own DX better.
I think theres no way the devs were able to reason about all the changes properly within that short time.
they had one really big advantage, all the NodeJS tests, and they already had a differential fuzzer farm set up (which runs Node programs on both Node and Bun)

... and what happens if the trial is late? you can sue them while you wait?

the migration just from other EU member states and old colonies (Latin America), coupled with continued urbanization put more pressure on cities than they are able to handle
housing is fucked in other countries too. migration or not.

por que no los dos?

the voters are the product of the same culture that gave them this amazing traditional politics

127 is definitely junior ADHD range
eventually you will find your own system that "works" for you, while not really doing much other than soothing your FOMO
which will lead to more open tabs but you won't care
I started a Markdown file, then roughly every year a new one, ... links of things I read, watched, listened to, ...
I started taking notes during meetings too, and in general the more you put in writing the less it spins inside your head. (at least this is what I tell myself :D) also it helps to keep attention who said what!
and when too many open tabs accumulate I go through them, many of them will become outdated (so it was some novelty thing back then, but since then I heard it a few times from other places, so now I know what's that piece of content is about; I skim it in a minute, close, maybe log, next!) which is great because it gives the feeling of accomplishment, and then if there's still too many I put the really important ones as Todoist tasks. (and then not look at them for years, but then eventually I can let them go)

is that some rare über shinigamy?
Pas__
sure, but that's the tragedy. real economic growth happened, where's the real wage growth? oh, it happened sure, but median housing costs as percentage of median real wages increased even more.
Pas__
i don't have a family in very large part because i need to eat and pay rent, and no savings, and who can afford kids? yes, there's a "fertility crisis", no it's not my problem that people collectively are as bright as as my pet coal at night.
Pas__
yeah, fuck the asking for id. there's so many things that would benefit kids. trying to keep them from looking at porn is the most ridiculous ass backwards thing
Pas__
oh she's dead inside for quite some time

to feel something
you mean the Guiseppe convention
