I suspect Listening is a Starborn only skill. There is (or was) the character called Listen who was also Starborn. So named because of this ability.

I suspect Starborns have various abilities, as Drakul has demonstrated.

Ivy trusts Lara with Oblivion war duty, so perhaps there is merit to your suggestion.

Although, I was very suspicious of Lara towards the end of BG as she seemed very eager for Harry to take Justine to the island after the battle to see Thomas.

I am still suspicious of Mab as she was also eager for Harry to take Justine to the island at that point. I think Mab is Nfected. I think Nemesis was simply talking to itself when Mab was talking to Justine on the Island.

It wouldn't suprise me if Drakul captured Justine on Mab's behalf.

Does the White God never show up in person because a Starborn can rename Him and cause untold damage?

Let me put my tinfoil hat on. Wild theory.

After finishing the book, it made me think of the purpose of Creation. Why the White God created the Inside and why Outsiders hate Creation? Lets assume the White God is an Outsider.

Creation appears to be a delicious food source for Outsiders. And Starborns are like heroin. The White God and his angels have grown fat feeding on faith and belief.

The Walkers are trying to destroy Creation as this food source is having a heroin like addiction effect on other Outsiders.

It is keeping the Outsiders awake and addicted (White Court Hunger) and the Walkers want to sleep and have peace again (Empty Night).
