Yes, I don't think so either. Maybe Vorlost or Marvin, but even that's a wild guess I don't really believe ;)
PhysicalRaspberry565
Streiten muss man üben.
PhysicalRaspberry565
Really?
In that case, maybe Voldemorts mother even knew of the entry. Not likely, I assume, but I think it's a funny idea
PhysicalRaspberry565
That's a very good tip!
AFAIK that's exactly how learning (usually) works - seems like we need to do it more conscious than others.
I also agree with saving this task as something with high priority, it's not optional because it's very important. That's also something I find easier to remember
PhysicalRaspberry565
PhysicalRaspberry565
Alles gut 😊 Ich verstehe deine Reaktion ;)
PhysicalRaspberry565
Yes, that's a direction I am developing towards, too :)
Thanks for the chat :)
PhysicalRaspberry565
Yes, I agree. And that's where writing/notes are helping, too. Even if you don't write word but symbols for your core thoughs - I think it helps to focus. I'll need to try that again XD
Oh, and maybe a timer? Either per topic or for the complete self-Talk regarding a topic. May help to focus, too.
PhysicalRaspberry565
I agree it's a great thing. Only problem, I often fall into the "overthinking/overtalking" a single detail. Often, that's not even worried but more focussing on a detail and forgetting the rest ^^
PhysicalRaspberry565
Do you really want to control them? I believe you it's very difficult... And takes lot of energy?
I'm usually only at the first step, to realise them in time XD
PhysicalRaspberry565
PhysicalRaspberry565
Second that. I experimented twice when I came to this realisation and quit ... And I still sometimes have cravings, after over 10 years!
PhysicalRaspberry565
Be careful. As mentioned in my post I only smoked 2 half cigarettes in my life and still are sometimes notice, I'm somehow longing for it. ;)
I don't blame myself for it, but I notice it - I'm kinda addicted and I never really did it.
I just want to say, even without addiction your brain may sometimes desire it. Constant vigilance ;)
PhysicalRaspberry565
Yeah, I sometimes like the taste and the feeling in my mouth. But I take care of staying without nicotine ;)
PhysicalRaspberry565
I tried out smoking twice. Just for myself, to experience it.
First time I felt nauseous. Second time I felt pretty well and was shocked, how fast my body had adapted to it. TBF I kinda meditated about it after having smoked half a cigarette each time. And I noticed how easy it would be to become addicted.
That's why I threw the stuff away. I STILL sometimes think about it...
I tried vaping a few times, but always without nicotine. I sometimes like the taste, but I know it's not healthy, either. But that's what I would go with...
As a side note, I tried weed 2-3 times now (with my wife and friends). Sometimes, effects were not bad, sometimes bad. But I certainly don't need it, and if I take part I puff a few times.
Still, not something I'd recommend.
Caffeine works better - Coffee is ok, but usually I prefer tea.

Just another idea about this: If Harry would have decided do "go on" and die - maybe Voldemort would have died, too. Like, either both live or both die - but only Harry can choose :)
PhysicalRaspberry565

My ADHD is probably not as strong as with many people here, or I somehow learnt quite good coping mechanisms very early. I got diagnosed with 29(?) and am now finishing my B.Sc. this semester - started in 2013/14.
I didn't have problems getting good grades at school - could have been better if I was less lazy (or less ADHD? Maybe), but fine.
Starting university went really well, because I found quite some friends to work together with. Also, physics is quite well structured and similar to school - most subjects in the bachelor are fixed, not many decisions to make, especially in the beginning.
But starting in second semester, this group started splitting up already. Not surely related to this, I got slower - less courses per semester, for example.
Also, my energy level and motivation started to drop. I was already diagnosed with depression, but now I understand that my worst symptoms come from ADHD - especially energy and motivation.
I never quit, but there were many semesters I started with courses and aborted them before exams, sometimes due to health issues, too. There's a pattern I did 2/3 of a course...
With ADHD diagnosis it went better. Medication and understanding myself are both important for this. But without meds I wouldn't have gotten to finish the B.Sc., I think.
