They DO have trouble getting stuff, but even if they weren't under embargo, the entire country is the size of a single state. They shouldn't have as many cars as Americans, and Americans shouldn't need as many cars as we are forced have.

Does nobody else speak Spanish who can translate for the aunt? Her spouse? Siblings? Why do they expect you to do all of the translating?

Knoxville has a very cool history with the suffrage movement. And if you drive about a half hour west you get into Oak Ridge, home of the Manhattan Project. Grisly history, but still very interesting and the area is a huge scientific hub now.

We were going to a wedding in Wales so we flew into Cardiff and spent a few days there, then a few days in Montgomery, then hopped over to Ireland and drove from Dublin to Belfast with stops along the way. Great trip but everyone told me it would be cold and the weather was perfect the entire time, haha. Definitely hoping to see England and Scotland next time!

So glad you visited! Knoxville isn't NYC but it definitely has it's charm! Would love to see Liverpool someday; just had my first trip to Europe earlier this year and it was amazing.

How does HR relate to VHS tapes though? It's in 2008 onwards and there aren't any VHS tapes in the show. Is it just some reference I'm not familiar with?

Yeah, it's not totally clear, but when people from the US talk about "day drinking" they usually don't mean a few mimosas at breakfast or a beer with lunch. They mean someone getting drunk early because they have trouble getting through the day without drinking.
