Okay no need for the attitude, Jesus. I hope you aren’t like that to your athletes. You have zero clue what someone’s going through and it costs nothing to be nice. I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with you in the athletic world, especially if they’re going through anything mentally.
Pitiful_Draft_5960
Yeah that’s my biggest concern, cause it’s really got me questioning everything about what I want to do. And I really don’t want to be like that, it makes me feel so worthless which adds even more stress. Plus on top of it all I truly don’t enjoy my clinical rotations which I think is creating even more resentment. Because for me when deciding with AT I truly sat down and took the time to think about what path I wanted to take with it and wanted either industrial or clinic setting, cause I don’t want the crazy schedules of the secondary school or college setting, but all of my clinical rotations are focused on those.

I currently am medicated for my ADHD and have been for the last 3-4 years while working closely with a psychiatrist and therapist, and the meds have flipped my life around but I have many other health issues that are also contributing to everything, and creating chronic fatigue and heart problems, plus the autism which can’t really be fixed. I just feel like I am getting so burnt out of this whole school thing, while also trying to juggle so many other things. I just screwed up doing AT as a bachelors too, I should’ve kept it more generic.

I 100% appreciate your honesty, I know your intentions! And it’s honestly what I need to make myself realize cause I already lowkey have one foot in the door with CFS and I have to make myself realize it’s real and it can really mess up my life if I don’t take it serious. I just struggle so bad to truly know what I want to do with my life and what I would be content doing. Which kinda scares me.
Pitiful_Draft_5960
Yeah yall are convincing me with these. The green and orange are such a good combo

Amazing, think I’m gonna make the switch then. If anything I can switch back to Xfinity if I have to. But it seems worth taking the risk then. I do a good mix of online uni work, gaming and streaming services so that makes me feel pretty good about it.
Pitiful_Draft_5960
Do you have the 1 gig if you don’t mind me asking? I’m looking into that one cause it’s a really great deal for what it for the speeds, and all the included add ons of the whole home WiFi and stuff. They have a deal rn where the first month is free so I’m tempted to just try it for a month or so and see what happens. If I gotta I guess I could just go back to Xfinity
Pitiful_Draft_5960
Really? Dang I figured with the fiber it’d be much better, that sucks. They have a amazing deal rn but I just don’t wanna make the switch and regret it
Pitiful_Draft_5960
Yk maybe I should then cause one of the athletes offered up like twice to me but I always felt bad each time and said no. But I may see what they have to offer then since its not uncommon

Highly noted I just was thinking about the equipment manager since my head AT just started the job so he’s very fresh with the school, but I’ve noticed the equipment manager sitting in the equipment room during practice so I was thinking I was gonna make the like jump to just introduce myself. So def go through with that now, cause I had the same thought of like surely they have plenty of extras especially since the said equipment room is shared by both sports men’s and women’s team gear. I appreciate the advice!!
Pitiful_Draft_5960
Yeah no doubt! My thought is just it’s a bit rough having to shuffle through the same like 3-4 shirts, 6 days a week and our program rules are that it has to be university branded items. And unfortunately buying those items are not cheap and I am in no place financially to afford them, so it’s more so trying to find options to ensure I can continue to look the part and fit in. But I just wasn’t sure if it’s rude for the AT staff to ask about clothing gear, and since my preceptor knows about as much as I do about how the gear works I wasn’t sure on how to approach it.
Pitiful_Draft_5960
I have discussed it with my preceptor but he is just as new to the team as I am so he isn’t very sure on the gear situation either lol. He essentially just told me the colors they wear(ex: white top with school logo, black shorts for practice) but I don’t have like tops in their colors, and often end up matching with the players more. Plus like you mentioned about pay buying the stuff is so so expensive and I don’t have the means right now. So I thought about bringing it up, I just don’t ever want to come off as rude or anything at all to them, but also dont want to like miss out.
Pitiful_Draft_5960
Unfortunately the preceptor just started the job a week before I got assigned there as well, so he is unsure of the whole gear situation and if they want me to have some of the gear as well. He just told me what they wear daily for practices/games, but I don’t have anything in the colors they wear daily. So it’s a bit of an intimidating situation cause it’s seeming like I need to ask the coach but I don’t want to come off as rude or something to him!
Pitiful_Draft_5960
That’s fair, I just get some confusion from other members of my cohort who are with other teams and getting gear. So I didn’t want to miss out simply because of not asking if that makes sense!

I made the switch this week too, my Goodnotes software had way too many software issues and was annoyingly laggy in the middle of me doing notes in class. Notability has been so so smooth and easy to use. The way you can start to type on notability is also way more user friendly. Hopefully you got the notability deal too! I think I got the plus for like $15 a year too

I saw the position EQ and was very very intrigued by that cause obviously not the same thing but the QC ultra 2 have like a motion tracking with the EQs and holy it’s so cool so I know their tech has impressed me before. I’ll probably end up getting it at Best Buy cause I have a $50 gift card and my local one has their orange color in stock too
I truly can’t disagree with you on that. It really does sometimes feel like the system is set up for us to fail. With my program we’re expected a minimum of 20 hours a week with clinicals so essentially every day, with classes from 8am-3:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and then a bulk of my classmates and I all also work outside of that to afford to live. So on paper it doesn’t sound crazy but when you sit down and schedule all this out it’s so limiting. And exactly like you said it’s very hard to find time to truly study, while also taking care of yourself and any other living beings. Which is not only incredibly important for everyone, but also it’s the only way I can truly function without my audhd getting in my way. Not to even trauma dump but I’m halfway into the semester and my health has never felt more low, and I’ve lost weight cause half the time I feel like it’s either eat or study in my free time. And I hate to truly complain because, like it is a privilege to get to attend grad school but I mean also the system is just broken.
