I have an R6M1 right now (same AF as the R5) and am thinking about upgrading to an R6M2 or R6M3 for the newer generation of AF. Can you talk about how the R6M2 or R6M3 compare to each other? I don't need the readout speed or the video features of the 3. Is there a noticeable, appreciable difference in AF between the 2 and the 3? (I primarily do weddings and events.)

I have an R10, and it has noticeably better AF than the R6M1.

RF 100-400. The flexibility far outweighs any aperture/blur concerns. At 300-400 the background is mostly gone anyway. This also gives you the option to photograph from the sidelines instead of always having to be on the slopes. Extremely lightweight too; when I first unpackaged mine, I laughed at how light it was—especially after being used to the big EF 70-200 2.8.

You're in a community of professionals who are recommending professional gear. R10 (or R7 if you really want to spend money) would be just fine for starting out. You can crop on that without issues and still have great quality for social media.

Get an R10 with an RF 100-400 and spend some on good memory cards and a nice case and strap.

Exactly. Maybe it works for portraiture or studio lit modeling, but events are messy: the photos should be messy and the emotions raw.
