Personally, I still thing it fits. The show and game take place 40 years after the most recent TTRPG, and in the game all it does is increase the speed of any and all muscle movements; the rate of fire of any firearms that are not manually operated is unchanged

No, I actually think the world is the strongest part. In regards to the AI freaking out, there is a LOT of violence in NC. There might have just been some NPC nearby that fires some shots and freaked out the pedestrians
