The world isn’t going to forget about Nene that easily. She’s not the Hawk Tuah girl who went viral by dumb luck. Nene went viral as a reaction to years of dedication to her craft and it is widely understood that she is only 16 and has her education to complete.

That was exactly why I shared this. She was giving the emotion of this song both in playing and her facial expressions. AGT really taught her a lot!

Then a new trend could start of getting “Nene Royaled”

I mean, I also suffer from this thing where it could be any song and I think “What would Nene do with this?” Even songs I haven’t seen her perform. It’s tough being in the rabbit hole.

As far as how she affected me - I could write a novel. But I’ll stick to her AGT content:

Zombie- I already loved this song, mostly thanks to the 2018 cover by Bad Wolves. Nene’s version was better than both that one and the original.

Hysteria and Black Hole Sun were mediocre songs in my opinion. Nene made me obsessed with them.

Seven Nation Army - I really liked this song back when it came out but got sick of it with how over played it is, especially at sporting events. Nene made me rediscover my love for this song as if it were the first time hearing it all over.

The Warning. I hadn’t heard of them before. After AGT I’ve become a fan of them.

Linkin Park. I’m sad to say this, but on a subconscious level I wrote them off and refused to listen to their new stuff post CB. Boy was I wrong. After watching Nene perform it, I was like ‘This is vintage Linkin Park, in some ways better than the later stuff with Chester.’ I’ve listened to most of their 2024 album now and have had the Emptiness Machine on repeat many times.

This reply has been long enough already and I haven’t even gotten to the non-AGT content. But yeah, I’m deep in the rabbit hole.

That’s such a good way to put it. By the time she did this performance I had already watched a ton of her content and already knew she had done some competition shows in the past. Despite all that, I STILL wasn’t prepared for that. She evolved into her next form that night.

If she records this in studio, I am adding to my Will to have it played at my funeral.
