Yeah, I also have both. it seems like an oversight since ADHD and ASD concurrence is extremely common

Please_Explain56

I'm also pretty frustrated by this. I managed to get one singular notification on the IOS app when I first turned it on and got so hopeful, but then nothing after that. I would love to know if anybody figures out if there's something specific you have to do to make them trigger

Please_Explain56

Ironically shortly after making this post I made a literal note just like that for myself:

"I'm sorry, but your emotions are not rational. Do not listen to them and act on impulse. You may be genuinely upset, but it's not a reason to act out. Wait until you feel in a better mental space to make any important decisions"

Please_Explain56

Honestly it makes me feel better knowing there are other people that experience such severe effects

Unfortunately I don't have anybody that close to me who could keep my mind off things, I just have to rely on myself to not do anything drastic :'(

Please_Explain56

I'm gonna be honest I would be over the moon if I found out my partner did this for me, even if they were being secretive about it initially

I would absolutely love to be informed about what they like or dislike of the things I cook for them, and having what's essentially a database of past meals I've made is really helpful to look back on

Please_Explain56

Why the fuck would he do this. This is abusive behavior. It's not okay to be actively preventing members of your household from doing work that is necessary for their future. Not to mention using a fucking sword, a literal WEAPON that KILLS people. It's so fucked up, I can't watch this

Please_Explain56

The way this is edited and portrayed makes it seem so realistic and that's really funny to me

Please_Explain56

I get so fatigued feeling like I have a responsibility to learn all of the talking points and prove my existence to people, and even then it doesn't matter

I wish people would just do actual research for themselves instead of always getting fearmongered into the path of least resistance

Please_Explain56

Ahhh, that actually makes a huge amount of sense. Since this doesn't feel like usual sadness, but more like a distinct, abnormal lack of something in my brain that allows me to feel happiness. A deficiency in serotonin would explain that well

Please_Explain56

Yeah that's wise, I'm definitely avoiding anything like that in the future since this is awful

Honestly I didn't really know what to do in that situation. Me and my friends went to the fair but they decided in the moment to get food after. I wasn't super on-board with going, but my friend drove me, so I go wherever he goes. I was worried it would be bothersome to figure out a different place to eat or have to find a way for someone to take me home :(

Please_Explain56

I think I'm going to accept that you struggle with reading comprehension and move on with my day

Please_Explain56

For no reason? They just explained the reason. If one woman has a past of abuse and one doesn't, you're going to probably want to be more accommodating to the former one and avoid certain behaviors that could remind her of the abuse. It has nothing to do with gender identity

Ignoring the shit that trans women have to deal with in order to treat them "exactly the same as cis women" is not as progressive as you think it is

Please_Explain56

I agree. Because it's not the usual mental health condition like OCD where it only negatively impacts you, meaning curing it makes you the same person but more functional

On the contrary, there's nothing inherently negative about the mental feeling of "being a woman/man." The issue is not really with the person's mind, so by "curing" the feeling of "being a woman," you're just fundamentally changing who that person is, and happening to relieve gender dysphoria as a byproduct, which I don't think is a good tradeoff

Please_Explain56

To be honest I don't really get the fear of muscular atrophy. Women are just weaker. If you were born female you wouldn't have as much muscle anyways, so what's the difference? You can still be a strong woman. That's my perspective on it

Please_Explain56

I agree. Yeah, obviously the tweet is very open-ended, but if you have experience in this kind of situation, you know this is extremely plausible. When you're around a bigoted family member for your entire life, you can intuitively pick up on when they're only amused by something out of bigotry, and it just ruins it

Overall even if they're overreacting or not, I think it's a bit insulting for people to assume things about their family life just because we're missing some context. Due to the char limit on Twitter, people are often just looking to vent and don't really have room to provide tons of explanation

Please_Explain56

I have my hrt follow-up appointment on that date. I really think it honors him well

Please_Explain56

yeah personally I prefer if there is little to no physical indication that a character is trans, it should all be in the story. Most of the beloved trans representation is an ordinary character whose storyline just involves them dealing with gender identity in some way

Please_Explain56

I'm the same way, though I find that it's more of a personal struggle than necessarily not caring about other people. I'm autistic and I just naturally don't empathize much with or think about other people's lives or digest any information they tell me about themselves. I know I should try to make an effort to care, but I worry that it would come across too disingenuous since it doesn't come naturally to me, even though I really am trying

Please_Explain56

only just got into it after the movie, but i completely agree. This is one of those stories where a romance plot would honestly turn it a bit sour for me

Please_Explain56

Be sad probably because i enjoy having affirmation in a group of likeminded people

Please_Explain56

Just don't get hit

Edit: Downvotes for joke :(
