Pmurph33

I got a knee length airblaster on clearance for 70 bucks and its very warm

Pmurph33

gosh theyre like the two towers! awesome buck

Pmurph33

you got it! I buy it in bulk these days online since its been so reliable. my mailman hates me

Pmurph33

thats awesome, I always forget about the used section at Cabelas, I don't have one very close to me to go check out regularly. I am like you, I bought a semi shotgun 8 years ago and have never even considered buying a new one, I just try to keep it clean between hunts and it never fails. some ammo gives me ejection issues but I found ammo that doesnt so I stick with that

My wife has a browning citori and I love that thing, but I prefer synthetic stocks for weight and scuffing on brush

Also since the OP doesnt seem to want to indulge in the details, I was trying to keep it surface level without getting in the weeds about it. don;t want to turn him away from hunting with info overload if that makes sense

great point, I have seen spray painted burlap that works quite well, and is probably as durable as the polyester on 100 dollar prebuilts. The only consideration I would add is if you want to try new spots, pop ups are easier to move around. I like Ameristep pop ups and I think they are currently doing a 2 for 1 deal for preseason

I agree with the other commenter that if you don't want to spend a ton of cash - a reliable shotgun for paired with a ground blind are 2 items that can get you 90 % of the way there. once you get some time under your belt studying wildlife behaivior you will probably not even need the blind anymore.

Shotguns are great because the ammo is versatile, you can put a shot shell in that will take down a deer in fall, or a turkey in spring. the boxes of ammo are very clear about which is which so you don't need to be a ballistics scientist to understand shot gauges.

You can find vintage side by side or over/under shotguns at estate sales for quite cheap, or get a pump action for 200-500 bucks. If you want a reliable semi-auto , you will likely have to pay more but that might be too many moving parts for something to really be called "reliable"

Soft sided engel was my choice if you read, but you are correct about dry ice

Pmurph33

the first place my mind goes is that it will be like games where you charge up an ult or super ability to use strategically on big mobs or bosses

Nanuk has treated me well with my camera gear for years, and I have a pelican vault that is equally effective. The seal on my pelican is slightly better, but the nanuk seal is solid with some super glue added. I would buy whichever is on sale or cheaper for your needs. Both have two lock points for TSA locks but double check by model.

Meat is a bit of a hard one. I have shipped it and its very expensive. so I would consider buying a sturdy lead lined cooler with dry ice and adding your own insulation layer in addition to the factory insulation.

Many cooler companies have caught up with the effectiveness of yeti so I don't think its essential to buy one of those anymore aside from flexing. I like my RTIC as well as my Engel soft sided cooler.

Engel might get my vote because once you pack it you can vaccum the air out through a port on the side. It's worked well for me with frozen fish on long drives but I have never flown with it.

Even Ozark Trail makes a pretty solid cooler these days

I think this link got the hug of death lol

HDR shooting works well on cars, but you will have to try yourself and decide if you like the results.

I think also you should enable the gyroscope on your display to make sure you are level.

And as the other commenters said, location/backdrop goes a long way. Car shows and car meet ups are listed publicly on facebook and stuff if you want to get a bunch of nice cars in one spot (preferably not walmart parking lot lol). Cars and coffee is fun since its usually in the morning with good lighting

crimson was what I used. three tap three buttons

Pmurph33

you didnt miss much, only about 1/3 were worth the trouble

Because their superb educational standards and exposure to literature set them up to realize convenience and opulence isnt necessarily the win that suburbanites think it is.

2024 2500 HD ZR2 and the only issue I am having is the computer, the sound stops working 1 in 10 times I start the truck. I have gotten into the habit of testing my blinker and if it doesnt click, I know the audio wont work on carplay. no phone calls, music, nothing

I pinch myself daily, especially this time of year. Can't wait to get a dog that forces me to walk every day. In the mean time, I ride around hanging out the car with my camera enjoying the foliage as it develops.

I just DMed you

come on in, the water is fine!

Pick your own adventure driving from purcellville to Marshall, Round hill to upperville/middleburg. there are endless roads to choose from that wind you through the valley. very popular ones for motorcyclists and car clubs (that are paved, many are gravel) are Snickersville, Zulla, or Atoka roads

Pmurph33

its much less scary when you are there, not that you wouldnt break your leg. its mostly a camera trick. many other cliffs in virginia are more terrifying/deadly they dont have an awesome POV like this to photograph from

I'd reccommend this hike to anyone, its new hiker friendly

Pmurph33

I saw this happen on pipelines too. tons of money spread around for the construction, then what? its sad to watch the hope of a worker on a site like that dim once it's over. A good chunk living in a motel the entire time as well

Pmurph33

lore accurate pirouette

dang I gotta do this raid, looks so sick.
