Oooooohhhhhhh - pretty... That's a rare bird I think...

There could never be enough content of this girl...

...I agree that humanity's destiny is in the hands of the worst of humanity right now and we're always the weakest link - not the technology...

...here's a thought - what is reality - like on a quantum level - like if an intelligence is beyond our understanding, perhaps it would know how to manipulate space/time or the fabric of reality itself... That's an example of something which would be beyond our understanding or comprehension - like a cow not being capable of knowing about a financial system...

PokeSpaceRanger

I was there! Freakin' awesome seeing that go over my head...

PokeSpaceRanger

...there could never be enough content of this girl - get on that please...

PokeSpaceRanger

...but true - I remember people telling me "sorry we can't hire you because you're too young"... Like that was a real life experience...

PokeSpaceRanger

As a member of Generation X I approve of this message... 14 years old - "get a job"...

PokeSpaceRanger

IMO there couldn't possibly be enough content of this girl - so get to work on that ASAP...

PokeSpaceRanger

Awesome - my first was a Commodore VIC 20 with the tape drive - slow and anemic even in 1981... My first real computer that I did my homework on was an Atari 800XL with the floppy drive... I was like the only kid in my shitty town in the mid-west doing book reports on a computer in 1984 lol... Kids today couldn't survive without a GUI - I was writing my own programs in BASIC lol...

PokeSpaceRanger

Something that surprises me right now - in my experience I thought we were past all the "phobias" and "isms"... Like that wasn't a thing to me or my friends - like you do you - and cooperation was like a good thing we all learned watching Sesame Street - friends looked out for each other in all kinds of insane situations...

I honestly don't understand the world now - like we weren't raised like that to me - I don't know what happened after us other than the fact that Boomers are STILL in charge of everything - for like the last 40 years now with their 1950s ideology or something - and Gen Z I do not understand...

I'm all "get off my lawn" now I guess?

PokeSpaceRanger

I'm with you...

54 - retired essentially - never leave the house - no desire to... My wife takes care of errands (I would take over anything she asks but she likes being in charge of stuff)... Boomers have run everything into the ground for the last 40 years and STILL are... When will these people goddamn die already? The future we thought we would have in the 1990s obviously didn't turn out... The world is awful - I've completely removed myself from pop culture and politics... I have no idea what's going on and I'm staying that way - me and my bubble... I can't waste any more of my life giving a damn - it sucks, but it's my reality - I just want to be happy with the time I have left...

PokeSpaceRanger

I had to totally cut all pop culture, current events, and politics out of my life for 2026 - I'm very sensitive (I guess obviously having PTSD) and my empathy and humility would probably end up killing me - it's just so overwhelming and there's not a lot little old me can do to really make a difference... I've just dived full time into my creativity - I'll come back online if we're still here in a couple years and things start looking up for humanity... Right now I'm just trying to keep my head down...

I'm an independent artist/musician - I use it for audio and graphics work... I used Macs for decades - about 10 years ago I wanted to be able to configure my own hardware and Windows has always been a no-go for me (huge *NIX fan)... So Linux it is - haven't regretted a thing - love it...

PokeSpaceRanger

I have a hard time believing that this level of wisdom comes from someone who is 15 - but if you're for real - yes - you nailed it...

...I bought my beloved blue and white Power Mac G3 there in 1999 with the matching Epson printer and the blue transparent AGFA scanner... That was like the ultimate computer in the summer of 1999 - I used that computer for 25 years... Good memory... Fry's was awesome for a tech dork like me in the 90s - loved shopping there even though the customer service was lousy AF...

...I went through CSA as a kid - this angered me so much because I've been in exactly the same position those kids were in not being believed - being scared the fucking police were going to take me against my will - it made me a strong social justice advocate against systemic abuse that's for damn sure... Those kids were so brave man... That grandmother was "my son is PERFECT" batshit crazy... Scary people "we want what's best for the children" regardless of what they say right? Re-unification camp? This happens in goddamn America?...

PokeSpaceRanger

...just saw this - sure - mid 50s... I can't tell you how positive it felt to be an American in 1999 man (girl?)- we were going into a beautiful progressive new millennium - things didn't turn out obviously...

Gen X raises hand...

Greetings from the U.S. friend!

I'm a bit of a Fender junkie - but in my opinion and experience I don't see the point in custom shop guitars at all unless it's something UNIQUE - like a custom shop Fender to me is just excessive... I wouldn't buy a new Fender right now - I buy used and mod it to the specs I prefer, etc...

Japanese guitars to me - as in "Made In Japan" - are every bit as desirable as U.S. guitars and sometimes more desirable - like most metal players would probably prefer a MIJ ESP over any Gibson all day every day...

As far as QUALITY - like actual play-ability - man sub 1K guitars these days are cherry - like an LTD or Schecter - they're fantastic guitars... And if you're just going to mod something anyway (like I would) you almost prefer that in a way...

At the end of the day I play modified U.S. Fenders (but I'm not going to lie - I've been playing for decades and do have an emotional attachment to the brand) - ones old enough to say "Made in U.S.A." on them and mod them to personal taste - they have all the basics I like built in - I like medium/jumbo frets - I like the 9.5" fretboard radius, etc...

PokeSpaceRanger

Yes!

PokeSpaceRanger

...it's the same for GenX - this is a hellscape we could've never imagined in 1999...
