Yeah when I read that announcement, my immediate reaction was "This is about protecting mod feelings, and not about any community members getting harassed".

I swear that entire discord is a noxious hugbox for overly sensitive powertrippers. I've repeatedly seen the volunteer mods go on rambles about topics they obviously know nothing about, and then pitch a fit and cry to the staff mods when people start correcting them for their bad takes.

I also specifically can't stand bitchyfrost. Egotistical asshole.

It started off as "Hey look at my OC/Artsona's Boobs", then became "Hey look at these fantasy/monster girl boobs", then "Hey look at the Sex Academy Mommy Teacher's Boobs", then "Look! the Sex Teacher is actually Lonely, but Self-Insert Man is there to treat her right!", and is now trying to drift into "Hey look at this 'outcast' gamer girl (who has boobs) finally getting picked and going on dates with Self-Insert Man".

I'm honestly not sure if it's made better or worse by the fact that the pandering is being ostensibly done by a woman. Either way, the entire production has been patreon porn panel ads the whole way down and has never deviated from that origin point, so the Wholesome pantomime just comes across as disingenuous.

If the rumors of the June warbond getting mulched into GC rewards, I imagine we'll get it eventually. It just doesn't make sense for AH to blow the entire load of desirable content on the front end and leave a long trail of fodder on the back end.

We got the SRV/IRV choice, we got the Hyena primary, they're currently cycling what seems like a second set of armor, then maybe some capes, and probably circle back to some weapons or whatever throwables were in the WB

I feel like that's a very understated part of it.

There's still scores of users who are sick of the "Hehe look at this comic, anyway I've got 18+ PORN on my patreon, go subscribe and see the loosely connected SEX ending of this comic!".

Without naming any specifics to avoid undue focus, there's plenty of comics that started or developed to be pretty good and entertaining on their own, but still have that looming sense of "This sitcom piece is entertaining, but what if these girls with honkin bazonkas were NAKED AND FUCKIN".

There's also plenty that are 2% entertainment at 98% "Look I can draw boobs, wanna see the nipples too? Pay Me."

"95% of the content posted daily isn't NSFW (ignoring that most of the things posted are shit-quality slop that will never clear 5 upvotes), you just see more of the Tiddy Strips because *Algorithms*" is a dumb and tonedeaf defense to a lot of criticisms about the ongoing trend.

There's an unmistakable rise of comics that are 90% "Hey Look, Tits", and maybe 10% joke. Some are better than others, some either started with or eventually evolved an actual story or dynamic characters behind the tits, but there's also a ton of comics that are just Porn-treon bait dressed up in a facade of being a "comic".

Yes, if someone is sick of a specific comic they can just block the poster, but there's always a new one on the rise and there's plenty of people posting one-off shit that never takes off but is still annoying to cross. If the community plugs its ears and goes "la la la it's not against the rules! Puritans! Killjoys! Prudes!", then people who are expressing frustration about it are eventually going to just leave.

It's not *technically* adult content. However you know what you're playing at, we know what you're playing at, the mods know what you're playing at.

There's a constant anti-porn/anti-gooner sentiment on r-comics and a loud sub-sect of the userbase getting tired of every successful/popular series just being "the joke is dicks and butts and boobs and sex" with mild humor dashed in because of gooners upvoting, and the Charlie series is frequently one of the more blatant offenders

The AI images tend to either be overdone (see "Waist of Time" with a clock belt), or the base pun is overly reaching for the sake of the image. Anyone creative enough to make a quality pun is also creative enough to not need AI generation to sell the joke.

Not sure if a new sub would be better, or just adding a rule here banning AI-imagery

Not as bad as the 10km of hanging on player ships + 10km of hanging on skeleton ships

From trying to do it on Insiders, getting a visual break from the skeletons long enough to grab a hang is pretty hard, and usually at least one will still see you and slash/shoot you off of the dangle point.

All of the dangle points are in spots that are highly noticeable from the helm, so it'll be nearly impossible to sustain any extended hanging on any but the most oblivious of solo sloops. Much like the sneak/crouch distances, it'll pretty much require an alliance partner to dangle from for a few hours

In the modern browser market, "Not Chromium" essentially leaves Firefox as the only choice

There's a lot of stuff in this game (or any game) and learning to just find information on the wiki/in-game/previous posts on your own is going to save you a lot of time waiting for post answers and the communities a lot of annoyance from answering the same noobie questions 500 times. (See the staggering number of "Should I buy a sloop???" posts)
