Aren’t most of the companions and Tav/Durge variations of the same story though? Powerful figure abuses their authority and takes away agency. Shar with Shadowheart, Zariel with Karlach, Mystra with Gale, Bhaal with Durge, Emperor with Tav.

I’m certain there are many fanfics and chat bots that have explored it thoroughly.

Nah, it definitely helps you pass checks. Nat 1s remove any modifier you might have to a roll, so you’ll always have a 5% chance to fail something you otherwise mathematically couldn’t.

Let’s say it’s a DC 10 persuasion, I’ve got 5 from Cha, 3 from proficiency, and 3 from expertise. Can’t fail. Except if I roll a 1, then none of those modifier (the things my character is built for) apply.

The first time I saw Casado, after hearing from Astarion how scary and intimidating he was for the whole game up to that point, I was like “…Him?”

I remember seeing all the meat on the pit in the goblin camp and picking it all up for rations. Didn’t read what kind of meat it was until I realized it didn’t go into the camp supply pack…

I’ve seen that camp in screenshots and videos but never in game. Where is it?

I’m pretty new to both subs (I just got the game two months ago and it’s become a second full time job) but I’ve noticed there’s more overlap in energy between this sub and its jerk than other pairs.

As for a connection to the gods, you could just headcanon that. I personally find it weird that in BG3 only clerics get a deity, why couldn’t a monk be religious? Or in this case a semi-divine being themselves.

Honestly, could just do monk. A short sword is very appropriate for her, she could use the Bracers of Defense in place of her bracelets, and the movement abilities monks get could stand in for her speed/flying.
