If Fetch can destroy this city, then he can roll over any other fortification. So why bother the fel sadanis take over? It was fist presented that the empire have not the might to pass throught DKE forts border. So they needed a strategic location from which attack: Fel Sadanis. Now all of that was pure bullshit because Fetch is OP as fuck, and SS has to come up with a half baked excuse. This is the problem with having exponential growth, you end up with a xianxia worth of plotholes.

You mistake character interaction with character development. The first is anything happening between two diferent characters in delve case inane slice of life interactions. The second is expanding the inner workings of a character, why he does what he does, what is his idiosyncracy. This is how you do it right (all POVs are from side characters): https://practicalguidetoevil.wordpress.com/2020/07/31/interlude-reprobates/

All the stuff you mentioned could have been dealt in a single ch. Instead of 4 so shitty pacing. The most important part of writting something is to choose what to say, what to show and what to hint. At first I thought the Author failed at this because inexperience. Now we know he does it on purpose. #milkingpatreons
PriestofNight
Don't worry, the last 4 patron ch are pure incosequential shit. So back to normal
PriestofNight
For the first time in all the story, there will be in one locations the 3 responsible for liesse. Akua, Malicia and Bard. Akua was the perpetrator. Malicia the accomplice and Bard the accessory. Cat will judge them in a way that fit her outcome, something like a curse that will impair Malicia to RULE and Bard to meddle with stories. Akua's fate i do not know.

Since ch 160 there is pure delving up to ch 163.
PriestofNight
Yes, this fiction broke with Rain's soul. The worst part for me, the pacing issues are an author decision instead of an error.
PriestofNight
He is. The las 3 Patreon chapters are way better pacing wise. The improvement is so big, it feels weird.

Technically, Cordelia can march all the way to the serenity and use the angelic nuke there safely. It was mentioned that angelic intervention "heal" the fabric of creation, meaning it would seal the portal connecting the hell with Keter and avoiding collateral damage to creation.
It is highly suspicious that DK unleash 3 greater breaches now but he never (in his 3k years) succeeded in conquering another hell. It is a blatant bait to force heroes into nuking the surface and not the serenity.
Kairos, by revealing that secret, is fucking both, DK and the Wandering Bard because both want the nuke to happen on creation.

Objectively speaking, isekai fantasy is worst than the rest. In fact, isekai is a an actual way to justified anacronism and the use of pop culture to attrack younger audience. How many of the top 5 fiction in RR are isekai? How many in top web fiction? I know you can take any other japanese oriented website and make a counter argument.
PriestofNight
I often ask myself how much better would delve be without Rain. This chapter is the answer. Fuck isekai and fuck the japanese who invented it. He ruined half of the fantasy community.

It is not enough to destroy the tower and the nobles. He must fill the power void with something else in order to not fall into the same pattern again. The only institution to fill this void are the legions/ the academy. Is a govermental institution respected by friends and foe. Even the nobles know that legions are better than their household troops. Praes will be rule by a marshal in the end, like Rome.

Well we haven't seen a full dps at silver rank. But the next ch will show that even at lv 24 Rain would be trashed by that blue. If you pick my argument rationaly, then offencive auras are powerfull enough to compete with dps classes or they don't. The first option will lead to OP main character because is aoe and he can avoid frendly fire, also combat would be very dull. The second option would make the skill allotment a waste of actual skill point to be expended in support skills. The same argument can be have with the wards. AoE skills are very difficult to balance in games for a reason. Thats why most aoe classes are support, they make the everyone else do their shit better, period. In the end we would get either an OP MC or an hippicritical MC with a "do what i say intead of what i do" motto.
PriestofNight
Also the protagonist pick what at first seems like a support build. Sadly it devolved into a generalist one, dispite the MC rant about spicialising in ONE role...
PriestofNight
I love the fact that Patreons get notice of a missing chapter AFTER paying for the month. LOL
PriestofNight
It is exactly the opposite. Ameliah has a hard battle. The lack of equipment fuck her hard and her class benefits the most from equipment stats.
PriestofNight
It is in fact milking. There was quite a lot of criticism about Rain translating Lord of the rings to Ameliah. This issue is adress in the next ch or so, meaning that the author keep track of the complains and fix it. But the greatest of complains (the glacial pacing) is something the author refuse to adress/ fix. There is a lot of room to compress the story so far, just look at the soul stuff. 90% of that is pure filler and there is a lot of redundancy, in which we are shown something and the next chapter is the MC becoming awere of what we were shown previously. At fist i though the author was taking by the hand the readership but now i'm certain it is the cheapest way to fill half a chapter. By the way 2 ch after increasing his lv cap and Rain didn't pick nor discuss his next skills...
PriestofNight
Sadly kemono is not up to date :(

The scourged earth is the most inspired scy-fy novel in the entire webnovel community. The concept of both the system and the scourges was awesome. I don't know what happen with the author and why he dropped but it saddens me greatly.
PriestofNight
spoilers: ch 144 is exactly the same but with some minor thing happening.
At this point i´m not sure if the author is trolling the readers or just milking the shit out of this fiction.
PriestofNight
I feel the entire fight was too far fetched. Why Ameliah got apeshit crazy when she didn't have a build for pvp? Why not delay the confrontation a couple of days? Some would say that she didn't know they were so powerfull and her silver rank should have been enough. But consider this: Rain ring give more stats than all the accolades of those 3 guys. Good equipment would be enough to bridge the "silver gap". And Ameliah didn't know what kind of equipment they had. She took a stupid risk and she is supposely an expirienced adventurer. Why they fight AWAY of a fucking fortified position? The answer is because the author needed to have Ameliah and Rain trashed. It is bad writing to a main plot development.
PriestofNight
I agree 100% with what you said. The problem is not so much with how it was written because is litRPG and this genre sucks, but the refusal of the author to not improve in what it is objectively the weak point of his story. In APGtE anyone can see how the author improves his (already decent) writing abilities and it took 3 books to reach his peak. Dont know how much word count delve has but the improvement is almost 0.

The opposite, Rumena made 7 attempts to kill kurosiv and fail all seven before going to the outer ring of the everdark.
