Oh whoa this place really is different than live feeds threads 😂

I have listened to every one of Taran's livefeed updates this week and I still have not a clue what is going on. 

Taran (Armstrong, a Big Brother podcaster) mentioned he made a very weird comment about Melody getting pregnant "whether she wants to or not" a couple days ago. I've been super icked out by the online posts (some racist stuff that really made me angry  personally), but this was one of the big in house moments that INFURIATED me. 

I would really like to see this Melody/Haley convo. Taran, on the live feed update this morning, said it wasn't even really a call out. 

There's not enough time in the episode to get people to understand the unbelievable awkwardness of that tea party takeover. I wanted to crawl out of my skin just watching on the feeds. 

Taran Live Feed update mentioned him telling Lyric not to worry about leaving because since she's eye candy, no men will vote her out. That felt icky to me at least. 

And then the way he acted at the tea party was a super bummer yesterday. 

It drives me bonkers because (as someone who grew up really evangelical Christian and has since done some deconstructing) lust is supposed to be a sin. It's wrong. They're trying to do the "love vs lust" thing but like, the show is a sexual show. Sexuality isn't innately wrong. Sometimes people want sexual exploration and sometimes they don't. It's so so puritanical and anti-sex on a show that's meant to be sexual. The internalized hate hurts!!!!!

But what if we voted to ban the word lustful in the villa?

I was trying to figure out why this didn't make me feel icky the way this aesthetic often does. To me the point seemed to be she's in her pajamas in the middle of the night, dancing around cuz she's so infatuated--fuck some of the most beautiful architechuture in the world; Olivia Rodrigo feels her love is more beautiful! She's a gorgeous person so she looks gorgeous when she's on camera. But being sexy and sexualizing oneself aren't the same. There's a butterflies in your stomach feeling when you have a crush--people call it a schoolgirl crush. Feeling young and free and wild isn't gross. Sexualizing youth is. 

Or maybe I just super dig this song so I'm biased. I'm trying to ask others if this music video felt sexualized to them to see more of a consensus from those who touch grass (not me).

Yeah. This has definitely been given as a reason that I've experienced abuse multiple times (if this many people have been abusive to you, maybe it's your problem or maybe you're seeking it out) and so seeing this post did make me a bit uncomfortable. Yes, sometimes you are the problem. But that is not inherently true. Not my favorite take here. 

Oh Nic, shut up. Taylor doesn't need to wear armor. Olandria has never acted aggressive or inappropriately. SHUT UP.

That's why I mentioned it might not be helpful and i made sure to point out the features I liked (her eyes, her hair, her general style). That was just my personal opinion and I wanted to put that opinion out there because she was asking for opinions. Your opinion and taste can also be valid. I thought Kevin Jonas was the hot Jonas so my my personal opinions differ sometimes from others 😂. (Also I'm hiding behind an anonymous account on Reddit--I don't want anyone to talk to me 😂)
