America did decide what to do with that money. DOGE went against congress under an executive order by someone Elon paid a hundreds of millions to help get the executive branch. That was a relatively small amount of money that helped save many easily savable lives. Musk got a tax cut that more than offset the amount of aid cut. He is a parasite on the human species.

I’m a fucking software engineer. The surveillance state takes a boatload of data storage and processing to track us all in realtime at all times. This was not possible before massive amounts of cheap cloud compute became available. There also just wasn’t the bandwidth to handle it for all of us at once. I’ve been calling this for over 30 years. People said I was nutjob in the 90’s and you are still doing it after it has happened. It started with just capturing the metadata from our web traffic and has been getting more and more advanced as tech has been more capable. LLMs get lumped in because they and other specialized neural net algos sift through and classify all the data at speeds no human can.
