The way I see it, a lot of Hazbin Hotel has been about the concept of family, either found family or biological. Able does briefly mention Cain (the 'braver son' line, if not by name) so he does exist with the canon (unless we're doing some weird switch where it's actually Seth, but I digress.)
So given a lot of people are excited about the possible introduction of Roo in the next season, who based on popular fan theories may or may not be Eve, I'd have wager that if we're mentioning Cain but holding that card back, that he probably has something to do with Roo who also has not been introduced yet.
Again, the reasoning here being that the only reason Cain would be important is due to the familial connection to the rest of the first humans, particularly Abel at this point since he's the titular head of the Exorcists (and well, a possible familial connection to Charlie given certain other popular fan theories...)
But honestly, pitting a cowardly Abel against the brother who murdered him in some future conflict is almost too good not to write into the story, imo...

Somehow he has no ability to injure Hellborne and Sinners, but no issues beating the hell out of an Angelic Adam. Just seems like a glaring clerical oversight by Heaven, really.

Beyond her genetic heritage, Charlie bleeds red (if the world's tiniest forehead scratch is any indication.) She doesn't bleed black or gold ichor like demons or angels. So blood-wise, she's apparently a sinner.

I mean, she's been to Heaven before and her Mom has apparently lived there for years, I doubt there's any issue with Emily getting her day passes or something...

I don't think they actually care about harm to humans, especially the humans they don't find favor with. What they do seem to care about is the 'natural order of things' and they kicked out Lucifer for upending their whole apple... cart.

I'm not sure what the point of an ontologically-evil character would be in this series. Given that Lucifer himself isn't ontologically-evil. Especially if it turns out to beEvelike some theories have suggested. Like, are we saying that Roo causes or promotes sinners? Is it some sort of denial of free will? The embodiment of the concept of 'a devil on your shoulder'?

Hmm, as far as we know Lilith left Eden without partaking in the Tree of Knowledge. Therefore she's (for all practical purposes) the only human in existence who cannot be punished for having Original Sin. I actually don't think that the regular rules for humans apply to her, and because of that, maybe she's able to traverse freely between Heaven and Hell.

It's the Ultra Ball Hall Check-in. It's always the Ultra Ball Hall Check-in. Right under Tabantha Bridge but no-one goes there cuz there ain't no damn Koroks.

Charlie's not ready to face the reality that while her in principle her endeavor is noble and comes from a place of wanting to do good, that in practice it's continuing to support the same system of inequality and unfairness that led to Hell's issues in the first place. That of the unknown moral, ethical, or religious line that divides whether people go to Heaven or Hell; which then leads to the prejudices of both Heaven against Hell's denizens, and also Hell's denizens against each other and the Hellborne. So for her arc to be narratively satisfying (in my personal opinion) she's going to need to take a fall at some point from which she can come back stronger and wiser, or, she'll just end up pushing her same rose-colored ideals for the next few seasons. Sometimes good characters need to fall, to become stronger characters when they pick themselves back up again.

This but Lucifer

I have to say, the Hellaverse has nothing on Diyu, just acenturies-long torture fest with the only light at the end of that tunnel being that you could, possibly be redeemed at the end of it.

No, I'd just facepalm at some of the writing decisions that led us to that point.

Stayed here one evening, room kept shaking. Went to find the staff, turns out they all left for some farm upstate due to a local emergency. Way to take care of your customers, jerks!

Homeless as a term is meant to be derogatory. It's meant to be insulting and unflattering. You don't build hostile architecture because you want to get rid of the 'unhoused' people, you build it because you want to get rid of the homeless. Cities like New York don't spend money on programs busing 'unhoused' people way outside the city, they do it to get rid of the homeless. You don't deploy the military in DC to get rid of the 'unhoused' people, you deploy them to get rid of the homeless. And Gods help you if you actively want to live an unhoused lifestyle, because society will take every opportunity to tell you its bad and wrong, and that you're bad and wrong for 'being homeless'.
