I know for certain I'm gonna see someone lose a head, more f-bombs than a Navy carrier, a minimum of one n-word by a white person, some awkward foot fetish content, and enough blood to turn the Nile red.

PsionFrost

That's only true in the larger cities of the metro areas, once you get to the 'burbs the cops are on you like flies to cow patties.

PsionFrost

I mean, that's really the only fully legal way to kill brown people so kinda makes sense a white supremacist would jump at the chance.

PsionFrost

Bitwig, it slaps on Linux.

I'll mail it for the person on my next home time for the cost of shipping. I'll do it next day if they give me money for an Uber to a post office, postage, and an extra $50 for my time, $100 if they have any tone other than grateful.

Which is more likely: a con-man with a history of fraud including dowsing just so happens to find tablets via dowsing that only he can read and translated them totally differently on two occasions but both times were still correct on meaning and he totally wasn't looking for people to follow him or give him money while managing to acquire both followers and wealth...

...or it's all bullshit from a known bullshitter. I mean, sure, it could be true but then again I could also be a billionaire commenting on Reddit.

I think he's just a really really hard 40, being a bigot really sucks the life force out of someone.

The most Dale Gribble lookin' mofo I've ever seen.

I have a 4070 Ti (not Super) and I get like triple the frame rate and that's on Linux through Wine. It's in alpha, so I recommend just trying it alongside having Firestorm installed as well; I primarily use Firestorm but I switch to Kirsten's when I wanna push things to the limit.

PsionFrost

Yeah, things have improved on that front as well, GPU utilization is more efficient now than then. Still antiquated single core main CPU usage but it now separates some compartmentalized workloads to other cores. If on Windows (or Linux via Proton), Kirsten's Viewer is an absolute monster at squeezing out performance on a gaming rig by using DX instead of GL rendering. We're all still waiting on LL to eventually go Vulkan but until that day Kirsten's is probably the most performance possible on a high/mid end system.

The biggest hop in tech is the inclusion of glTF physics based rendering (no tessellation yet though) as well as replacing the old Vivox voice system with WebRTC.

First company I was with wouldn't let us idle at all (truck would shutdown aggressively at 5 minutes) and we were based out of Texas. I did not last long there because I had to sleep on the goddamn catwalk because it was cooler than the sleeper in the Texan summer heat.

I tried to use only Linux native plugins but it's just such a waste not to use all my Arturia and Air plugins that integrate with my Keylab and MPC respectively. Thats the only stuff I use Yabridge for though, everything else is native with a preference for CLAP.

PsionFrost

I second the Key 37, it's a monster for sequencing. It has very robust track creation with multiple ways to do it to your tastes. Also, it's a synth itself if you wanna mess with that as well. Also works as a recorder to bring everything together if need be.

PsionFrost

This is why I got the Keylab Mk3 Ultra for my replacement MIDI controller because it's neon orange. I would love more color variety in gear for sure.

PsionFrost

They're aggressive and rigid.

I'm an Arch Linux diehard but even I'll admit that if music production is what you care most about, Ubuntu Studio is the answer. It has by far the widest selection of native packages available to it and it's designed exactly for that task.

However, if you do a more even split of gaming and music production, I would recommend the Arch based distros out of both personal bias and the much quicker updates for gaming especially if you play mostly newer titles. You can get it to do what you want for production, it's just gonna probably take a little more tinkering depending on how complex your production needs are.

I like my Mackie ProFX12v3 mixer but it only has a single stereo in so it's not great if you need separate tracks simultaneously. It's just me though and I can't play more than one instrument at a time, so it's no big deal for me. It's capable of 24/192k or 32f/192k and has 2/4 USB I/O channels. It has separate headphone and monitor out plus an additional main out, mono monitor out, and another stereo out, so I have my headphones, stereo monitors, guitar monitor, and my MPC all connected to the outputs with an extra stereo pair to spare.

By the end of the 7th console generation the PS3 outsold the 360, so while Blu-ray may not have been a primary deciding factor, things did work out pretty well for Sony in the end.

I went from using Windows to Linux full time and as a result I transitioned to using an MPC for music creation. It was definitely worth it, even though I now also use Bitwig as well. The MPC has a sort of immediacy to it that I don't feel with a DAW; everything is so tightly integrated that it all just kinda works and there's tons of tactile hardware buttons for just about every function I regularly need. At this point, my MPC Key 37 and PC work together to make a whole instead of competing but that said, I tend to complete full tracks solely with the MPC way more often than solely with my PC.

All phone carriers use the same 3 major providers: Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. If Verizon isn't working for you, avoid Visible and Straight Talk. Google Fi works well for me in DFW and they use T-Mobile and all three of those MVNOs you named (Metro, Mint, and US Mobile) also use T-Mobile so I would recommend trying whichever is the cheapest for your amount of usage since the cell network is exactly the same between them. US Mobile is slightly different in that you get to choose between the three networks when you sign up.

One would think Colorado Springs would give you a hint.

The trick to Fabric is to use Fabric when arranging then switch to Fabric XL when you're ready to start mixing and mastering. That way you get the performance boost when actively working on the track then the higher quality for mixdown. They're the same presets and engine, just different sample qualities. Fabric is pretty worthwhile to get imo, it's AIR's flagship plugin.

Although it may not be as cost efficient, you could also use one of your freebies on the OPx-4 Pro Motion expansion that adds a bunch of presets to OPx-4.

That face looks like he just got a finger somewhere he didn't expect.

Something you might find useful is the Hype plugin that comes with the MPC, there's a bunch of atmospheric presets and something might tickle your fancy there.
