I was just at a similar event a couple days before in Oakland and this is more or less consistent with my experience, although the moderator we had came with some odd and pretentious questions about acting choices that threw the cast members off, and I wish I would've been able to hear some of the stories told at your show. Dana was still charming, maybe had a few too many vodka cocktails but he still had some inciteful answers about his process and how David Lynch guided them through the famous emotional diner scene with him and Don S. Davis. Ray Wise was charming with his stories and anecdotes. A natural performer, and got up and performed Leland's bizarre showtunes about oats and ivy without missing a step.

Are you for real with that sagging pants talk? Old ass adults back in the 90s were complaining about kids like that. I guess stay indoors because 'gangsta' teens with their pagers, chain wallets and backwards baseball caps are rampant and are ready to pop a cap in your rear end.

He's the dark triad personified.

wtf another celebrity in the sunken place, and it's Pokerface this time. I know she's been trying to get clean, but I'm afraid she might be two steps away from shilling prayer apps with Gwen Stefani and Chris Pratt or doing deep cleanses with RFK Jr., or getting addicted to crystals or all of the above.

Maybe we're past the point this kind of protest accomplishes anything tangible. But as things get more and more extreme and severely oppressive politically, the muted responses and apathy disturbs me almost as much as anything. I know it can be a nourishing thing to be out there in solidarity with others, and kind of gives me hope to go on, and that can be beneficial even if it won't change the hearts and minds you're at there protesting against. Helps me fight the burnout at least.

Cancer free and finally turtley enough for the Turtle Club.

I would like to have seen Montana.

Feels like this would be some sick scenario dreamed up by an Epstein-type billionaire who wouldn't honor the deal after the fact because you were 'holding back'.

This drivel stinks of that neutral persuasive tone AI loves to belch out whenever possible.

Oh cool, I was just wondering when ChatGPT would chime in about Shane Gillis's monologue after everyone else on social media had their turn.

We're beyond the looking glass here Faux-moi. Up is down, black is white, back is to the left. In a moment like this, between American idol royalty and snobby novelty toy store employees, I put my trust in the screenshot scientists to suss out the hard truths of this fowl fowl injustice that has us all a twitter.

I believe this anecdote, except for the 'I have the money' part. After all the boozing and the gambling I have my doubts.

I know this is random, but I wanted to thank you for your efforts putting that online Darger gallery together. I've been working on a project and this had been invaluable.

I'm afraid of soulless Hollywood sellouts who craft a brand out of spreading positivity and progressivism, while being close with Peter Thiel and his friendly neighborhood gang of democracy-destroying psychopaths. Who knows if he's cynically trying to justify his investments or is deluded enough to believe this. It doesn't matter anymore. The damage to society is the same either way.

This isn't just a Shane Gillis thing, because you could apply this to a few of these comedians in the same place. I just always wonder just what those conversations with the rancid comedians in his orbit are really like, and how like-minded he really is with the company he keeps. It's one thing to have friends with differing views and opinions, but some are truly beyond the pale.

It's doubleplusgood the BBC did such a thing. We have always been at war with the dolls anyway. Imagine a pair of ballroom dancing shoes stomping on a human face forever.

I'm not Canadian, but from one of those rural places where Cable TV wasn't an option back then, and a lot of these Nickelodeon shows are just as foreign to me. Even the most profile shows were things I could only possibly catch an episode on a family vacation or a friend's house. And I feel there's not enough attention paid to the gap between those Millennial kids who had cable and satillite and those cursed to watch whatever you could see through the bad antenna reception.

As a preteen viewer of all those tabloid shows like Hard Copy and A Current Affair, I remember when Dr. Laura was considered so hateful and wrong-headed that mainstream 1990s society was up in arms about her. She was losing stations left and right for her homophobic stances back then, which must be absolutely insane if you listened back to it. I think the popularity of these 'straight talking' advice shows like comes out of a time where therapy was even more unpopular and even downright shameful to admit going to.

Puzzled-Ticket-4811

Wait, what they're doing right now is the popular stuff?!

My only complaint it that the Tubi search engine is lacking and there's actually a more extensive back catalog of movies that won't always show up there, which is why I recommend using any alternate search engine you can, of keep following the related movie links on the side when watching on Tubi, or spam it with interesting or off the wall search terms, because you'll find a lot of great or ludicrous things you normally wouldn't.

I don't think any old timey British orphans survived after seeing that face up close, sad to say.

Puzzled-Ticket-4811

Even watching it as a kid, I thought the ending where they're all laughing and jumping for joy like a TGIF sitcom rubbed me the wrong way. In a world of overlong goofy Stephen King 90s miniseries, this one has to be at the cheesy velveeta top of that that ludicriousness.

In the super extended version, there bits of exposition here and there that suggests Kevin Costner's gill mutation is the wave of the future, and there's more of them out there he'll seek out. But everyone on the surface seems doomed for sure.

Mr. Moral majority has been in an open marriage, which always made my skin crawl imagining him as a swinger. Another classical gay basher and relentless critic of single mothers who lives or at least pines and desires for a non-traditional lifestyle. A perfect hypocrite and repulsive toadie for the current reich.
