Hello, are you perhaps interested in a software engineering intern for a 6month final year internship?

Hey bro, there is also the option of going to a therapist. A lot of addicts benefit from therapy and professional help. And it's not only for the mentally unstable as some people think. They use valid techniques like CBT to reconstruct how your brain feels and acts when it comes to these substances and break the addiction loop. I would rather go to a therapist and quit my addiction than lose years of my life because of pride. There is nothing wrong for asking for help and you don't have to fight this alone. Good luck bro!

Probability (what is the chance of X given the premises?) Deductive reasonings ( multiple 'proposition A, prob B -> conclusion' and you need to see the valid one)

Puzzleheaded_Job5630

A lot of their employees are on summer break, so wait a week or two before comming to a conclusion

go, very nice, very simple, allows me to reason about what the program is actually doing instead of dealing with framework magic. Overall I'm a fan.

This is a tech sub so:
- You could learn technical skills like web dev, SWE and go to small businesses, find a problem they have and show them you can solve it (automating spreadsheet work, improving operations, whatever really...)
- digital products (other than kdp) and yes it is slow and boring but it is low effort so if you just want something you can do consistently, digital products are a great fit.

The Greatest Estate Developer (manhwa), Man this one is good.

Hmmm I see, i was confused on why you'd do a master's when you have solid experience/skills, and if you want to learn cs it's better to do so yourself. But i guess if you want to be closer to the academia world then it's understandable.

Besides languages where you're forced into an OOP setting mostly (e.g. Java), i usually don't find myself reaching out for classes and objects. Most of my projects however are mostly thought of getting a data input, doing some transformations on it, then outputting it (save to db, file whatever), there are no objects with private state that control their own behavior etc.. And even if i did reach out for classes i would mostly use static functions (for ease of use, and easier to deal with concurrency problems).
What i'm trying to say is that a lot of use cases for software don't fit the OOP model, and if you don't find yourself using it, that's perfectly fine.

Listen, I agree with the fact that you are able to start entrepreneurship if you want. My problem is with money, if i have to provide for myself and family and i don't have a saved stash that will sustain me throughout it then i wouldn't be able to do it. However if i didn't have this problem and i wanted to do entrepreneurship then by all means i'll do so.

Puzzleheaded_Job5630

Love this.

Puzzleheaded_Job5630

ok, then i'll have to do my own market research, evaluate product market fit, spend my own money (which i don't have since i just graduated) to launch my product, all of this when i don't have any business knowledge instead of looking for job and spending my boss's money. Thanks!

Problem solving is a coding problem.
Aptitude is mostly logic/math question, think probability, deductive reasoning etc...
Data structures is about well data structures (e.g What data structure allows you to do X?, Given this result, what is the format of the data structure? etc..)
Algorithms it can be code and you need to give its complexity, or mention what algorithm is best for X.
ML i don't know.

Puzzleheaded_Job5630

This is the best scenario, a person struggles with the problem and solves it, then use AI to review his work. Sadly some companies don't give you enough time to do this, so you'll have to adapt and try to maximize your learning while still giving value to the company.

Check out teachyourselfcs.com !
There are good resources in here that might help you.

Puzzleheaded_Job5630

how is someone going to learn a lot if they're just using LLMs for everything? maybe they will get exposure to multiple stuff/concepts and know that those stuff/concepts exist superficially but as long as they're not getting involved and thinking through things deeply, they will not learn much.

Comparison is the thief of joy.
The way you usually go about life is not by comparing yourself to other people, but by comparing yourself to your past self. Are you getting better? Learning new knowledge? and continuously improving? If yes, then you're in a good spot.
Other than that, different people know different things, i guarantee that you know things that that new joinee doesn't know and vice versa. That's completely normal and you shouldn't blame yourself for not knowing everything.
As for your work situation, i don't know the exact details but i would recommend you to do whatever you enjoy and improves your skills without caring about what people say too much (of course there is a limit to this, you shouldn't just stop working and accomplishing the job you're hired for, but change the way you view it to concern yourself and not others)

Puzzleheaded_Job5630

meaning? the work is meaningful for the employer and his clients but not the engineer?

Puzzleheaded_Job5630

Makes sense, good job on that and thanks.

Puzzleheaded_Job5630

May i ask when do you wake up? How do you have time for all of that in the morning? I personally barely fit in breakfast, hygiene and commute time in the morning (I'm a student at uni tho) and i wake up at 7:30, i have to leave sports for after i come back (the problem with that is that i come back tired and i still need to do a lot like: cooking, house work, home study, etc.. since i live alone).

I'm not vegan, but here is where i might understand some of the vegans.
Vegans feel that they have a moral obligation towards reducing animal sufferings.
Imagine you were transported back to an age where slavery was accepted, you on the other hand might not accept it and will try to actively publicly fight against it. The people in that period will have the same feeling as you do now (why are you pushing your beliefs on us). And if it wasn't for the people who started movements against slavery, it wouldn't have been abolished.
That's how i view it at least and i try to be more understanding of the other people.

Puzzleheaded_Job5630

thank you.

Puzzleheaded_Job5630

Thanks this helps a lot, and yeah i'd like to see that checklist. Thanks.

Puzzleheaded_Job5630

Yeah there are a lot of variables to take in consideration before choosing what to do. Thanks
