Yep and a major one in Scotland has also gone out of business. I worked there for a short while and it was just a sausage factory teaching folks what they could’ve learned for free. Definitely not worth your money seriously, especially with AI coming in and taking entry-level jobs.

I live on the top floor and love it! Great view but I do have to carry my bike up the stairs and stick it in the flat -It’s just not safe hoping to get a shed in the garden soon maybe next year And that would make an improvement and my insurance would cover it if it was in a shed. Most deliveries will come up, especially Amazon and then they deliver Morrisons and they’d bring that up as well. I had one leak that was an issue but the council sorted it and charged the tenant responsible for it because it was there water tank that had a faulty valve.

So if you’re young or not so young, I’m not so young but I’m pretty fit and I wouldn’t trade it much better than having people clump about above my head and I can’t beat the view of Arthurs seat❤️

The other thing to try is narrow mesh so like some sort of mesh wire but with very narrow gaps I had to do that in my boiler cupboard because there was literally no floor there you could see straight down to the flat belows ceiling and the council can’t do anything about it except put mash so that might be worth a try

Yeah 😂. guess the mice are back 😂

And this morning it looks like the fruit flies ate my banana. It was either that or a mouse.

We use central taxis for work and generally they’re pretty good – but last week we had some issues where they completely forgot one pre-booked journey for a vulnerable client causing a lot of stress, and we’re late to 2 other others. They said it was a busy day and to give them credit we’ve not really had problems in the past and we’ve been using them heavily for like 10 years so overall I would recommend if you want reliable but not necessarily completely cheap.👍

Yep this is what’s going on in the flat underneath me as well – two bedroom flat X Council not particularly big and the same situation that you have there people are desperate

I live here and have no problems at all. It’s very convenient to get into town and close to Portobello which I absolutely love. I would say if you’re looking at the ex council/council block. there is minimal soundproofing between the floors. It’s not too bad horizontally but vertically there is very very poor soundproofing so that might be worth bearing in mind but you would get that anywhere if they’re of this build. Editing typos

Okay, leaving the side whether or not you should’ve agreed to sit for this dog, you aren’t in a safe position. You’ve been bitten once you have a puncture wound which you’re gonna probably need to keep clean so get some hibby scrub and that clean that bite out properly. Hibby scrub can give is what Vets use and you can get it at most pharmacies. Make sure you have your tetanus shot up-to-date. The priority here is keeping you safe, not the dog.

Phone, the owners of the dog explain that you’ve been bitten and you no longer feel safe taking care of the dog they need to come and collect it or send somebody else around to collect it because you’re not prepared to put yourself in danger of getting more bites due to their dog. I know that’s a bit harsh but you’ve got to take priority of yourself over the dog.🥰 editing typing

But it’s a few bad apples a lot of the kids are actually all right. Yes, there’s a bunch of annoying wee bams but there’s also a lot of decent younger folk better to just not let the trouble on

It might still be worth checking out midmarket despite currently being on universal credit. It’s gonna depend on your income which is none of my business but I have a friend who is disabled and due to her disability has a bit of a higher benefit as well as adult disability payment so it brings her over the threshold for mid market. She was able to get a flat with a lift so that she can get in and out because she can’t do stairs so please try to consider it. I’m sorry for what you’re going through.🥰 editing typos

They’re both really good, but I prefer the bottom one

QuantumHayBale

Looks fantastic. I like you being able to choose the colour as well swapping the colours around is a really cool bit of the work

QuantumHayBale

Omg. I’m not surprised but still 🥲

QuantumHayBale

The y three my packages behind a neighbour’s bin. Then they were supposed to collect a return and they never turned up. What a surprise.

Depends what you’re using it for I suppose I use Max (cycling 74) for some projects because it is the most efficient for getting the job done and it’s a lot of fun

QuantumHayBale

Yeah. It’s getting better now about 8 days….glad you are feeling better

QuantumHayBale

This! Me exactly right now

QuantumHayBale

And well documented Good documentation on Max makes a big difference 😀

QuantumHayBale

There is also a Coding Train discord. I think it is still running. I found that really useful 😀

I’m really sorry this happened to you – and you absolutely need to report it. It’s not acceptable. Unfortunately, there’s gonna be racist cunts everywhere but that doesn’t mean you are to be subjected to any sort of abuse or racial slurs.

I use openFrameworks – for what you are doing It might be better to go Cinder. My first thought was how about the documentation? Is it documented? I haven’t looked that much into it because I learned open frameworks years ago and I’ve just stuck with it because I know how to make it work for me but sometimes the documentation was/is a bit sketchy so if you’re learning something there’s gonna be a lot of different tools. I would see where is it documented👍 editing to add that when I learned to open frameworks I was a complete beginner to creative coding or coding in general so there was a bit of a learning curve to say the least. If you’ve got experience in coding previously, it will be easier to pick up some of these frameworks.

Yes winter is dark here in Edinburgh – I moved up from London and I did notice it but I so much love the summers here they are absolutely fantastic because you get the extra light. I found it easy to make friends and although I’m not a nurse, I found working and commuting in Edinburgh to be much easier than London. There’s a beach there’s loads of green spaces and for me it’s just a much better choice. I cope with the winner – I have to say it’s my least favourite season but it doesn’t last forever and if you like reading and such with book clubs, you’ll be finding things to do.❤️

I really feel for you. My Downstairs neighbours even started banging on the ceiling when I was sitting on the sofa and I’ve got a fully carpeted flat and walk around in slippers. I also hear them and literally feel them walking - they shake the building It gets to the point where it becomes harassment on their end and maybe keep a record of it because if you’re doing your best, there’s not a lot else you can do and they’re being unreasonable.👍
