Brian Blessed as a quite softly spoken monk like Doctor, who totally loses his shit when confronted by injustices.

They were taking the piss , welcome to the UK I think they liked you.

I don't have better info, so I will bow to your greater knowledge and thank you for a short but fun conversation.

Love them any Ghostwatch merch is a bonus

Not saying it's more popular than D&D any version but it's a definitely number 2.

Epic kids TV started well with Camberwick Green but git more formula based as time went on.

This wad the first thing that came to my mind too...

Yes D&D is top of the pile but I always find it amusing people treating CoC as an also ran.

CoC has as much staying power as D&D without the constant need to change for money like D&D.

It was horrific what was done, but I would like to point out concentrating on the 'white girl victim' concept is disingenuous Sikh and Hindu girls were also abused but I guess brown on white crime plays better in the media.

Children of the Stones Anything by Nigel Kneale Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister Edge of Darkness Father Ted Pretty much any BBC Science Fiction

Things that put me in a bad mood. Any 'reality TV Show' or Design type show.

Tactical Warfare is what we do now, and the UK excels at that.

Now that's a shame.

Nope we abandoned attritional warfare over a 100 years ago.

War is not a numbers game if it was the US would win every NATO exercise and the don't.

UK vs Argentina is a one sided fight and it's not in favour of the Argentina forces.

We did that last time, The Vulcan raid on Port Stanley was to show them they were on range.

You gotta watch Moontrap

Check out Profiles of the Future by Arthur C Clarke one of the chapters is about how fiction does and doesn't predict what is to come.

Classic scene from YM/YPM even funnier as you can see them all only just holding it together and the Bernard loses it totally at the end after his line about the Sun.

Based on the novel The Death of Grass by John Christopher, yes him of Tripods fame, he wrote few adult books too A Wrinkle in the Skin is my personal favourite.

And not just the politicians

Star Cops, massive potential treated badly by the BBC. Thankfully Big Finish are producing audio continuation.

Danger Mouse spin off it was OK but nowhere near as DM.

Mrs RWMU loves it.

All of them, it's so easy to translate between them.

Evening time Village Cricket is the best.
