turn off 2.4. It could be basically considered unsafe now. Not in its security, but its reliability. Works great in soundcheck, then get a whole bunch of phones show up at a gig, and you are done in a bad way. 5G only.
And NEVER use that built in system in the XR series. Unsafe at any speed!

to set gain? doesn’t matter. pfl just isolates the input to your headphones to make it easier to listen to an input during a mix when there are other instruments active.

“Ode to my car”, the radio version. Group of us heard it on the radio randomly driving around in the late 90s, nobody knew who sang it, but my god did we laugh!

You don’t need shielded for those, but it absolutely positively without question has to be solid core copper cabling. NO copper clad aluminum cable. No stranded copper. Solid core cat 6. and it cannot be longer than 196’ in total length

yea i really broke my cat’s brain with it. It took mine about a week or so to move on

honestly, pretty rarely, but bever lived in an urban area I would consider dangerous or questionable. Same with the car, nothing in there worth more than the window. Even the code to my garage door opener is 1234. The locks just keep out the honest people.

straight up sparkling water is just water and co2, nothing else. Flavoured is generally just that, some flavour. it’s not trying to recreate the sweetness with other additives

we built a DC in a vault. Ugh.
Building into a room specifically designed to NOT have holes drilled into it. PITA

I have a Costco 11000/9000 generator with an electrical hookup to
my meter.
Power goes out, press the button on the generator, power comes back on the house. When power is restored, turn off the generator and turn the 2nd heat pump back on. It’s that easy.

I really only pay attention when the gas light comes on…

Accept it and quietly dispose of it. Say thank you, be neighbourly.
Then put it in their car tail pipe

Old enough here to remember airplane audio headphones working on air

Get some multi-tracks of some bands and mix and practice with the board with that. Again...and again. Watch somehow to internet videos and recreate the scenarios that you encounter in live situations, bus from pre<->post, adding in reverb, inserting effects. The tracks will give you the feel for the compressors and gates, DCA configs, matrices, routing. And do it again...and again. Its the best way to familiarize yourself with any console.
EDIT: And get familiar with the Mixing station app, it is amazing on the 32.
