I have this as well to some degree, it just feels to me like some kind of fear of endings? Probably ties into our primordial fear of death somehow idk, but I certainly did it a lot more when I was younger than now. For example, I’ve never publicly admitted this, but I never actually finished watching Hunter x Hunter, I didn’t watch the entirety of season 5. That’s not to say I haven’t watched the show a lot, I binged seasons 1-4 about 5 times, but never actually finished the show, I just learned the plot points later so I could discuss with people. I think that last thing actually happened to me… Being told that I was a creep by a friend for being in a relationship with a 15 year old when we’d started dating when I was 16, but by this point I’d turned 17, definitely was a contributing factor to why I ended that relationship, (def not the only reason, my ex’s sister manipulated me over the course of months and then lied to me about awful stuff she was saying that she actually wasn’t) and then the week after I broke up with her happened. I do not tell anyone what happened in that week.
