Exactly what I was thinking. And of course, being the kind of man that he is, William would naturally try to make anyone he views as under his control feel like an idiot, to make them feel lesser

Darkly ironic for Vanny and Elizabeth, two characters who hold some of the least responsibility for their own fates, one having to carry the weight of thoughts and actions that weren't their own, and the other just being a kid who no one bothered to protect

William's daughter, and the woman William tormented with his influence, both exhibiting the same self-degrading mannerism of repeating "Stupid, stupid, stupid"

I like that Ness mechanic a lot but the Gregory one seems really strong

This is a completely random idea that doesn't make the most sense but what if Gregory's mechanic was along the lines of "Your flashlight no longer drains power, but now the mask drains power instead"

I think it's good that she's basic. My favorite character doesn't force me out of the gameplay loop I've come to love, and if I want novelty the more gimmicky characters are right there. Better no gimmick at all for my beloved than a gimmick I don't enjoy

I don't expect a Frickbear's 4, like, ever

But with that increased mod support on the way, I think endless possibility lies in our hands. Sure, we may not all be modders, I sure as hell am not, but there's a lot of characters who didn't make the cut and I'm sure there's passionate people who will group up to bring them to life, and who knows what other ambitious stuff people will put together

And beyond the game itself, there's always fanart of all sorts... I wish there was more of it on this subreddit, but still. I think this game's characters deserve to have a permanent niche in the overall fandom, and I also think they definitely have a chance to so long as people who love the game keep making stuff about it

All audio is muffled and obscured by the sounds of being underwater, and the entire screen is tinted blue and distorted by a wavy effect

Lots of items have multiple functions when right clicking, and Blue Ice has lower friction than Ice and thus would be preferred over frosted blocks in many cases.

In any case, the other commenter's suggestion of a dedicated frost block is better

Yeah, now that you mention it, that does seem way more streamlined in implementation.

Call it "Frost," make it slippery, and let it be placed like Glow Lichen. Maybe have it drop from Brittle Ice broken without Silk Touch or something along those lines

Axes are my preferred weapon and I don't tend to think about which hotbar slot I'm on when I'm just idling at home

Luckily I'm also usually wearing a shield, which prevents unwaxing/bark stripping, but sometimes I'm not and accidents happen

That's why they should add those variants to regular packed ice imo. That, and I'm sure people who do a lot of terraforming would appreciate it

Walking around on slippery blocks is cumbersome, and packed ice bricks are the only building block even close to their color

Sure, they could make it so you can wax the block, but then that's yet another thing you can mess up your build with if you accidentally right click while holding an axe, and at least if you unwax a bit of copper on your floor you aren't going to start slipping on that block until you fix it
