2 year old comment mate, but often the variety is written on the package, or it has a brand name tomatoe that traces back to one variety that is sold. Then look up that variety and you will see if it is heirloom or f1. F1 are a mix of two varieties, which produces seed that is sterile or seed that is not reliable and won't grow the type of tomatoe again that is currently sold.

I wouldn't know why not. You can check the 4g and 5g bands for full compatability.
