If being “over the top” is wrong, honey, you never ever wanna be right! It’s GORGEOUS!

I quit my earlier this year for the same reason. Best decision I ever made. The culture has gone down the toilet. So glad to be free from all that toxicity and enjoying life again!

Looks great!

Me three.

I go out the same way I came in. You swipe your badge going in. You swipe your badge to get out. That’s the only way the door will open. I’m at a corporate location. That’s how it is here.

They get a report of your badge usage. When you enter the building. When you exit. Also, they are not flexible as a rule. Depends on your manager. But they are very much focused on RTO.

Not true. It’s the phone banks. Customer service is the front line. The don’t reroute anything. They do it all. That’s personal banking, business banking, any DDA accounts that are serviced. Customer service does it ALL. They are not routing calls like a secretary. That’s ridiculous.

Probably more like 65,000! 😂

Recent-Instance-530

I don’t know if they are or not to be honest. I just know what I’ve been living!

It was bad wayyyyy before the pandemic. I was there before, during and after. And honestly wells had one of the higher attrition rates. Great pay. Excellent benefits. Lots of PTO and holiday pay. It was a great company for a long time. Used to have great incentives before the scandal. But not after 2016. So they had to figure out a way to get rid of bankers. It’s taken A DECADE but they started pushing digital banking relentlessly on us once sales was cut out. I mean relentless. The handwriting was on the wall. Now, digital everything has taken off over the last decade. I avoided all digital suggestions/ options and did everything for my customers. If I told them how to do it themselves they wouldn’t need me. Well(s), then it wasn’t an option. If you didn’t make a certain number of digital suggestions per call you would warnings to write ups etc. The pay and benefits were worth the pressure to me. But then they threw in micromanaging. They can see every key stroke you make. That we are doing our jobs. Yet they stay in top of you. Not worth it. It was fun while it lasted!

Recent-Instance-530

Yep!!! Now they do monthly reviews in phone banks. If you have just one “does not meet” within those 12 months they deny severance. They are cut throat. I’ve heard from bankers overseas they are miserable from the micro management they are now experiencing. It ain’t all it’s been cracked up to be!

Recent-Instance-530

Same thing!

Recent-Instance-530

He’s not just cutting jobs, he’s moving them over seas. He’s eliminating the American work force for cheaper labor. He’s also instructed leaders to manage people out so they don’t have to pay severance as they systematically move overseas. Also laying off in small enough to numbers methodically to avoid WARN reports. There is nothing to celebrate here.

Recent-Instance-530

Depending on the bank you work for and if you have a good relationship with your manager, they can pull the call so QA doesn’t get it! Done it many times!

Interactive* phone banks. Customer service. Business service.

Recent-Instance-530

Phone banks customer enter-active

Recent-Instance-530

I left a very busy office for 100% remote and pay cut in March and its the best thing I ever did for my well being and happiness! Good for you!

Recent-Instance-530

Seems there needs to be some changes to the law regarding these warn reports. The loop holes are an issue and makes the report useless.

Not true. Nothing illegal is happening. It’s just shady and greedy. The federal regulations in place have been around long before Trump ever thought of running for president. This all started (layoffs across the country) under Biden’s watch. It’s just as much Biden’s fault as it is Trump’s. Which is not at all. Neither to blame. Doge didn’t even exist when this started in 2022 and we were first told of the five year lay off plan to commence in 2022 and come to a close in 2027. Stick to the facts. This is not political. It’s the industry.

Recent-Instance-530

Sorry to hear this. I’m sure you weren’t expecting that. Must have felt like a dream come true for the job opportunity. Classic bait and switch! Hang in there!

They told us at our site in 2022 that there would be rolling layoffs for the next 5 years of our department across the country because of the outsourcing. They told every single site that’s since been shut down and outsourced the same. We have been on pins and needles wondering are we next? Nothing in writing. Just town halls followed up by management clarifying in team huddles. But hey, don’t worry, a lot of things could change and we could still be here in 2027 blah blah blah. Well a lot of things have changed. Everyone is leaving either by being managed out, pushed out or running for their lives to preserve their mental health. Managers, he actually tells staff to try and “stick it out” one more year. Take short term for 6 months if you have to. Get paid for 6 months and ride it out. (If you’ve been there ten years you get 100% pay for 6 months but you have to have a doctor approve that. It’s not like hey can I have a docs not to miss work for 6 months? Gimme a break! It’s dishonest and possible insurance fraud!) Our location is to be last layoff in June 2027. Everyone and I mean EVERY one is over worked, over scrutinized and micromanaged. Work harder with less. They make it harder to pass QA calls. Used to be 6-8 calls a month. Now it’s just 4. Fail ONE you fail for the month. Then they can PIP you and have it happen enough they can put you on a formal. I’ve seen it happen! So June 2027 if you have had a PIP, formal or final in 2026 you won’t be getting severance because they will say you were not performing. I’ve seen it happen at other sites and it is happening even tho people say it’s not. Count themselves lucky if it hasn’t happened around them!
